Hi
I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is currently overseas. Her son is interested to DSA to RI. They were wondering about Malay lessons in RI? How many malay boys in a cohort or a class? Are they a rare sight in RI? A little background, they been away since the boy was a toddler. The boy has insufficient exposure to the language and has an exemption for PSLE. However, is interested to pursue Malay in upper levels. Thank you -
Regarding the βpercentileβ in the progress report, any idea is it based on the class or base on whole level year1?

And.. Happy Staff Day to all the staff of RI !!! :rahrah: -

Hello,
I would like to ask about the Year 3 DSA to RI for local students. May i know what topics they might possibly test for the entrance examinations for Science? What is tested for english? Also how many places are usually given to local students as i am aware RI takes in a bulk of foreign scholars in year 3. How many students apply and what are the chances of getting in.
I am currently in an IP school and i am have been placed in the SBGE programme. I am also in a sport and i play for the school.Does anyone have experience on the Year 3 DSA? Hope you guys would help me out. :?: :?: -
Would like to check with RI students or parents here, whether there are regular on-line lesson and assessment weekly for the students. Personally I feel classroom, hardcopy worksheets and textbooks still a good mean to build foundation while e-learning could be minimum and as supplement. However it seems some schools moving on to more e-environment of learning and homework submission having more and more students engage in internet gaming tor wasting time on facebook, etc. thereby become under performers. Glad if anyone care to share what current RI learning/teaching environment is like ?
During the open house, DS and friend was so excited about the school having open free wifi that they begin to browse internet or visiting their favorite websites . I also observe students playing handphone games at the canteen. But unsure if that is the growing culture and kind of environment there currently? What kind of control does the school impose on the students? Or just leave to them? Anyone can help facilitate more insight?
