I have been having this problem for the last few years. Have tried a few facial brands but of no help. I'm thinking of going thru IPL treatment but not sure what will be the long term side effect. Does anybody know of any reliable skin clinic and the cost involved? :?:

        Hi Loner

My case is of marks left by pimples.

Saw Dr Tan from DRx at Tong Building (next to paragon) 3 weeks ago. He recommended treating pimples first, then marks next stage.

So far his products do help with my pimples. Not so many blackheads, and skin looks clearer. He carries his own brand of products.

He has quite good review on those forums, so you can consider him. This is his website http://www.drxclinic.com/v4/home.html

I have obvious freckles and I went through one laser session 2 years ago to remove them. The process was not painful but the face will be so red and heated after that; next the freckles will turn very dark colour (very ugly) and will drop off on the third day.

I have IPT to remove pigmentation and revitalize my face every 3 months. I apply sun block (even at home) avoid direct sun as much as I can - It works.

              Hi Loner

Dr usually have to give products with AHA to help skin shed upper dull layer. As long as not excessive it will not thin the skin so badly.

Dr Tan gave me a toner with some AHA, so far it is ok.

Talking about sunblock, most skin doctors will give sunblock. But I find sunblock very heavy and oily. Anyone can recommend a non-greasy sunblock for face? If not, how do you prevent face from looking oily after applying sunblock?

In my case, I am currently using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer that contains Helioplex. Some expert told me that normal SPF product only prevents but it does not really block the UV. So the helioplex serves to block the UV damage.

I’ve freckles and hasn’t consider treatment. But I am using SKII whitening source on a twice daily basis + neutrogena ultra sheer. It appears to have lighten but of course it doesn’t go off.

I go to Dr Tan too. Ask for the sunblock that his clinic carries.I find it easy on the skin.

I have had IPl done. It has limited effectiveness on on me. So Dr tan recommended a series of lotions and mask which has improved my complexion over the years. I also go there on a monthly basis for my microdermabrasion treatment. That has helped in improving the overall texture and clarity of my face.

I am using SKII FACIAL TREATMENT UV PROTECTION (SPF25) PA++. I used to use their WHITENING SOURCE DERM-DEFINITION UV LOTION (SPF50) PA+++ but find it a bit too heavy.

Since the one that I am using is now only SPF25, I carry it with me in my handbag and reapply as needed usually once at mid-day.
