For schools with no requirement on reporting in school uniform, do get your child to wear something that is easy for trying on the new sch uniforms which you will be buying tomorrow (unless you are not planning to buy tomorrow or already bought)


Also bring more cash in case some bookshop or school uniform vendors only accept cash.

Just called HCI to reconfirm. As per previous years, there is no need to wear school uniform for tmr’s reporting at HCI. The only doc the child needs to bring is his student ezlink pass.


When in doubt, always call the school to check. Information cant be wrong when it comes from the horse’s mouth.

the boarding school provides laundry and pressing service for up to 22 pcs of clothings each week. so the boys can send their school uniforms for washing and ironing without having to do it themselves. don’t suppose they have so many clothings to iron such that it exceeds the 22pcs even if they wear 5 sets of uniforms and 5 sets of PE attire per week (eg school uniform 2 pcs each day x 5 days + PE attire x 5 sets of 2 for 5 days = 20 pcs). in any case, self-service ironing facility is available for use in case the boys prefer to do it themselves.

yes we can bring the boys out ocassionally for dinner eg. for birthday celebration. don’t have to apply but have to notify in advance so that the canteen won’t keep dinner for them. of course, not everyday.

we can also drop by to visit them during the week but we can’t go to their room. they will have to meet us at a common area within the boarding school.

i also wish that it is just a term-long stay instead of a semester.

Just to clarify, HCI is the only sch which has waiting list 1 and waiting list 2.
