My girl will be in Sec 1 next year. I’m currently in Shanghai. Are there any books that I can buy from here that would be of use to her.

Goodluck8 : I don’t think the kid asked for it. Finished PSLE this week immediately next week start tuition, so only had a few days of rest. Impossible too coz’ still need to enrol for class etc… so I believe it was all in plan. Kids r still kids, they’ll want to paint the streets. If the break was long, I would understand the possibility of kid asking for it.


Well, reading is good. My dd is catching up on her reading. I thought she would loom coz’ she was barred from doing it for a long time. She did a while until she got hold of a book, then 2 then more. Brought her for a well-deserved break during marking days and she was reading. Sit in boat - read, sit in bus - read, take pic - read. Haha! I should have left her in SIN

My dd’s classmates are already going for Sec 1 tuition.

What?!?!?!What are their parents thinking? Give the kid a break. Should make the parents go for tuition, see tiring or not.

Me! In Punggol

Lucky for those kids where CCA is not compulsory.

My dd loves her CCA and I’ll let her go for it. It’s a de stressing time for her. But then it’s SYF this year so how "destress" can she be? Haha!
She stays back twice a week for CCA alone. Plus 2x supp, with tuitions or piano class taken up 4x a week. We barely hv time for revisions. We end the day daily only clearing school HWs!!! Tuition HWs also need to do. No time for revisions. Sigh! I honestly wonder what’s the purpose of going for supp, end school day late still need to do HW.
My lil girl - P2 suffer with me also. We don’t stay near the school so fugitive life everyday.
Btw, just asking around experienced mummies here. Can list down the pros n cons of sending kids to their classes on weekends. Now for my older girl, all her classes are on weekdays, weekends was left for 1 tuition in the morning. But I see how "rushed" we are on weekdays now. So thinking if for my younger girl I should push all her classes to weekends instead.

Any recommendation for good Creative Writing classes in Punggol and Marine Parade?
