Moonee, smurfy, jtoh,

      :thankyou:

now i get it! my relative definitely should NOT sign that form to \"convenient\" that ungrateful maid...你做初一,我做十五;你不仁, 我不仪!wonder if she is aware of the consequences if my relative dun sign that form....if not, she's gonna regret what she did! 😢

      jtoh:

Your relative doesn't need to sign the transfer form if they don't want to. They can just send her home. Presumably the maid has no outstanding loan with your relatives.

It doesn't matter if the maid has found a new employer. The prerogative to transfer still lies with your relative. If the new employer really wants to hire her they can apply for a work permit after she goes home and bring her back out again. That's their problem. Not your relative's.
actually what is the purpose of signing that form...my relative very angry to be betrayed by her but they cannot stop her from leaving right....how to send her back if she wanna stay, how to enforce it? the maid does not has any outstanding loan already....actually before she drop the bomb, she has negotiated with my relative for a big increase of her pay, my relative could not accede to her request so she said she got another job... her sudden move caused a lot of inconvenience to my relative... really very bad irresponsible maid.....

Asking on behalf of a relative:

The maid has been with them for about 3yrs already…main role is to take care of my relative’s fil who is on wheel chair…after her second year with them, they decided to renew her and did all the paperwork themselves (not gg through agent)…recently, this maid theirs "sneaked out" while they were overseas (they left their fil and the maid in Singapore) and got herself a better paying employer through another maid agency…when my relative returned, the maid drop the bomb and told them that she no longer want to work for them anymore…my relative was asked to sign a "transfer form"…they ask me whether should they sign the form…what are your views? any recourse that my relative can take (i dun think they can find the original agency right since the initial 2yrs contract has expired and the renewal was done by themselves)? or this maid can just "walk-out" like this?

I let her sleep till 9am (as I am worried about her afternoon naps) but on wednesday she has piano lesson in the am. She has to start to get ready for school by 10odd as bus is here at 11am.

wow! 11am got to board the bus? how abt lunch then? does he/she eat anything after breakfast? the next meal time is recess @ 2.50pm

For sunday, she has CL S&D (same as what they offer to P2 next year). But as all my kids attend the same program but back to back schedule. we are there from 9.15 - 1.15pm. Followed by maths for 3 of them. So we are only free after 3.30pm.

what is CL S&D? is it storytelling and drama? Thks to Berries, my gal's HYPY foundation is not bad...but she speaks mandrain with funny accent plus she hates to converse in mandrain (self-conscious).. so i am wondering if need to take out extra CL enrichment courses to improve her mandrain speaking skills..

I heard that band is looking for P1 with music background. MBS school band has been havng gold with honours and it is a very reputable band and many years of good reputation. One which my kids are proud to be in. The band instructor is great. Imagine my pride when my hairdresser told me that wow... you must listen to MBS band, it really made him sit up. His son was from CH band and he heard MBS band played during SYF performance. My niece who is active in a sec school band told me alot of great stuff about MBS band too. So if your child is really keen, let her pursue and make sure she continues throughout. You never know if it brings about DSA value.

wow, thks for the insights abt MBS school band! I'll feel really proud if my gal can be part of the elite team!!! Wonder how they recruit newbies.. if they do selection then my gal chance will be slim, she only started piano abt 6mths...has yet to attend any professional exam so cannot be considered as \"qualified\" for music background...wonder whether school will arrange some orientation for CCA? maybe she can ownself decide...btw, since your elder two already in the MBS band, can share whether the kid get to choose the instrument they wanna play? My gal wanted to join band coz she want to play flute so many her interest may die if she cannot get to choose that...

Actually I heard alot of comments about band taking up alot of time,etc.... However I see how band works positively for my niece who just collected her \"O\" levels results today. I thought it's good for the kids to have passion for something they enjoy eg. if they enjoy band, let them be. Their teenage years are probably spend on band activities and studies. Rather than idling in some shopping malls?????
yeah, definitely agree with you...if someone got passion on something, they will enjoy and overcome any obstacles that come along...so i am sure they can cope despite the hectic schedule..

      MMM:

Thanks Admummy. Do you know about chinese orchestra? I heard it's also paid and on saturday?

We are thinking of exposing P1 to band and orchestra after which ask her to choose 1.
hey dun mention it! no idea abt chinese orchestra, but can check with the form teacher on 14 Jan during the meeting session...my gal also interested in the school band, she saw them rehersing at the open area during the orientation and was so totally impressed...but i am a bit hesitant, scared over stretched her...she's currently having Berries, ICR and piano lesson during weekends...during weekday, mad rush during morning and only little time left at night...she wake up 8.30, take breakfast, bathe by 9.30 from 9.30 to 10.45 study time (now no homework from school so usually do assessment books or enrichment classes homework) then 10.45 to 11.20 lunch and dress up for school...school bus arrive at 11.45...there goes my gal...then she reach home abt 7.05, eat dinner watch some tv programme until 8. then study again...until abt 9 where i ask her to read some story book or play ipad ...10 oclock sleep...she ask me mummy why i so busy now...poor gal...how's your pri 1 day like?
