    • RE: In-law problems?

I believe grandparents-parents-children relationship is important in a child’s upbringing. It instill a sense of fillial and respect for elders in the child.

Yes, my PIL are super naggy. I don’t speak to them alot unless there is any topic that interest them for dicussion.

I appreciate my MIL that she is not very particular at who do the housework and both of my PIL are willing to take care of my son when I work late.

So when you compare "bad" versus "good"…living with them tends to be more tolerable

    • MP's dicussion on SG education system

There was a buzz going on in my FB when my MP posted a picture with the following lines:

(<engaging Education Minister Heng Swee Keat and top brass of ministry on education policies. Am in the Govt Parl Comm of Education. Good discussion>)

I am posting a few comments of the picture that gather \"likes\" of others..

\"\"talk to Mr Heng on the removal of streaming classes as it is very back dated already. Get the smart students to mix with weaker students and improve on the mutual communication level. Also this will eliminate those parents from.buying properties near the famous schools.\"\"

\"\"Our Education System is far too stressful. It needs a medical check up\"\"

\"\"Need to revamp assessment modes, especially PSLE. Creating too much stress for children, parents and teachers.P1-P3 shoud not have formal exams. Teachers' training to equip them with necessary skills and strategies to craft lessons that are crucial to benefit students for the present era. Pupils to learn problem solving skills, handle conflicts and develop good moral and nation building skills..and more...\"\"

I personally also believe in revamping of the education to instill more character-building skills that can help them through their lives.

    • RE: In-law problems?

in-laws are forever problematics…all becuz they r nt our own parents, we r only their daughter recognized by SG law.

my ILs used to the kampong lifestyle…while my side of family r the more modern type.

U can imagine the "clashes" we hv with regards to taking care of kid, etc…what made it worst…I LIVE with them…haiz…

Lucky, my hubby is supportive & my son "play" a good buffer…if nt i go crazy…

Hubby and kid play very important role in minimizing the problems btwn DIL and PILs

    • RE: Teacher's Day gifts

This is my son’s last yr in CC, (next yr P1 liao)…so i wan him to give his teachers something special.

I ask him to plant sunflowers for his teachers (we started 2 weeks ago)…it allows me to "kill two birds with one stone"…

I teach him how to plant seeds, water them everyday, watch them everyday and report to me how much they have grown…

Hope the teachers would like it…
