RE: House Renovation - designers or ala-carte?
my friend told me she bought most of her home reno basics (like toilet bowl, curtains, floor tiles, bathroom tiles etc) from taobao and saved quite a lot of money
i havent tried personally buygin those, but i did for toys for the kids - came quite ok!!! got shipping cost, must wait a while for it to arrive, but the price was SO reasonable.
highly recommend also for you to try using https://www.shopback.sg/taobao. they give up to 10% cashback when you buy extra on top of ur credit card and all. i got special page i found that will give u $5 if you shop but its from hardwarezone one (it shld work) https://www.shopback.sg/hwz
on average for taobao since its UP TO, i got about 3-4% most of the time which is not bad considering the amount i buy. anyone got experience in the basic spuplies? -
RE: Hotel Booking Websites
i always use expedia- they got best price in my opinion especially when you subscribe to their mailing list and they have quite frequent private sales (up to 50% one)
best is use https://www.shopback.sg/expedia when you buy. shopback will pay you 8% cashback on hotels (means my family book to japan for $2000 total on hotels, 8% means i save $160 extra + i use my miles credit card to chalk up miles)
very decent and highly recommended for you to try!! -
RE: Buying groceries, online or not?

1. meats (chicken, pork minced, beef etc): $20.. 8% cashback means save extra $1.60
2. vegetables (i always buy the asparagus and corn): $10.. 8% cashback means save extra $0.80
3. baby formula: $160.. 8% cashback means $12.80
4. I buy alcohol sometimes.. tiger beer case of 24 is $53.50. 8% cashback means save extra $4.28
best is i dont need to carry it here and there cos can choose delivery date and time one
I highly recommend it - someone no need to travel to shops
Here got lobang I found (But from hardwarezone one): http://www.shopback.sg/hwz when you sign up got $5. i actually havent tried ntuc online and all before though -

RE: Which Powerbank to buy?
hquek:
I got the 16000mah. Shiok. I can charge mobile phones and ipad multiple times eg over the weekend. It's heavier than 10400 but not by much, I'm willing to carry that extra weight for the convenience.
16000mah is huge..And I thought the 5200mah ones was enough for day to day use..Stevenage:
Can be challenging to order from mi....so some pp may prefer an easier way even if to pay a bit bit more.
Salivating at the new Mi Powerbank....super big and can charge 2 devices at one time. http://www.mi.com/dianyuan16000
The 10400 mah PB that I have is hardly used except during road trips..
Still will only get from the authorized stores cos there seems to be a lot of fakes around.
I prefer lighter ones coz i dont really consume so much batt when im out..haha..so dont need such a good powerbank..but i agree with u that its impt to get the real ones..thats why i will only choose the bigger stores like lazada..haha -
RE: Prices still not going down despite worldwide depression
Nebbermind:
Question is, \"will\" price drop.. not \"did\" price drop..limlim:
so.. will property price drop? How about stock market? any views?
Well, COE price didn't!!
\"didn't\" != \"wouldn't\"
maybe it will follow property price go down?
Anyway.. COE go up good mah..
less pple can afford = less cars on the road = smoother traffic for everyone..
Regardless Coe up or down, the roads are EQUALLY CROWDED. less crowded only possible when Coe allocated not fully subscribed or taken up - in which case it is $1 each
Haha..agree that no matter coe up or down..the roads are still going to be crowded..thats why the more i hope it will go down..since also doesnt make much diff to road condition..haha
