How does Learning Point compared to say Mindstretcher?

LP stretches the children more especially if your child is selected for the GIE program. My niece is in the program, I like the materials and hoping that my kids will be recommended for it.

Agreed, $ does not mean = good results and the interest in learning.

However, I do not mind paying but my kids must benefit from the center. I must say Xuelin is more expensive but their teachers and materials are fantastic! It’s worth the $$$ spent especially when I see my kids are progressing well and always looking forward to their classes.

    • RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

I will choose Xuelin! Go for the Katong, Bukit Timah is very full on weekend. They have teachers who are really good with children! My 3 kids really love them very much! But most important is that my P3 has no fear for compo writing & attained very good SA2results 😉

      tks. the classes gd?

Absolutely! My P3 has done very well, above 90! I am very pleased. 😉 More importantly, Xuelin knows how to motivate the children. My kids enjoy their classes, especially the K2.

Hi Lim_ks, no regret to send my sons to Xuelin. They really enjoy the class very much. Agreed, expensive as it may be but they produced results! P2 SA2, 63% to P3 CA1, 45/50. My P3 son is looking forward to the SA1(ha…ha…) as he says he will do well for his compo. Xuelin has given him the confidence in compo writing! my P1 doesn’t feedback as much as the P3 but I can sense that he is definitely enjoying his MT.

    • RE: Teaching Chinese at Home

Dear Brenda10, I had bought 笑猫日记系列 but my sons aren’t interested. How do you get them interested? I like 杨红樱 too, her writing is interesting and easy to read but my sons do not like 马小跳 too.

    • RE: Xuelin Learning Hub - Discussion

Hi tonpat, yes, they do have a p1 reading/writing program, in fact from K2 to P5. Registration has already started. I have signed up mine! The books they have selected are very interesting. Personally I really like them very much and I hope they can motivate my kids to pick up and read. This is what Wang Lao Shi had told me that this is the core objective of this program; instill reading interest and impart writing skill.

    • RE: All About Market Rates of Private Tutors

Hi Oasis, have you tried Xuelin Learning Hub? Check them out! I have sent my P3 son and has improved tremendously. P2 SA2, 63% to P3 CA1,45/50. Both my P3 & P1 sons are always looking forward to going to their class! The teachers there are very passionate and the class size is very small. I understand that they do give 1-1 to students who need help initially but will integrate into the group class thereafter. My overall assessment is $$$ well spent!

    • RE: Lu Laoshi

Huh!! $70/hr! I thought Xuelin is already very expensive @ $55/2hr! At least I know my P3 son has taken an interest in MT after going to XL, especially in compo writing. I am very pleased with my investment (P2 SA2:63% to P3 CA:45/50) and my P3 son can now even feedback everything, unlike my P1 son (blur sotong!). On top of it all, the kids in XL have exposure to newspaper reading which is I think very important.
