Hi Bluemom, can shed some light which area do you reside? Your 6 choices are all over Singapore. Is distance or travelling a concern for your DD?

My tscore 250 + 2
1st - Rv SAP ( cop 252) - Jurong West/Boon Lay
2nd - scgs 'o' level ( cop 252) - Central
3rd - cedar 'o' level ( cop 250) - Potong Pasir
4th - Chung Cheng main SAP 'o' level ( cop 242) Marine Parade
5th - nan chiau SAP 'o' level (cop 244) Sengkang
6th - nan hua SAP 'o' level ( cop 245) Clementi

Not putting the nan chiau n nan Hua. Not convenient. Me staying in north area. We max 10 to 11 stns train for travelling, will be sending my girl to sch but most probably she will come back on her own. Scgs area has a direct bus to our plc

There’s a possibility that RVHS and CGSS will inch upwards. If SCGS stays the same, you are effectively looking at your 4th choice, in the southeast.
Yeah, I told my girl to be mentally prepared for it, most likely the 1st 3 choices might not hv chance.

But seem like quite many applying for cchm, she is 10 point plus, not sure chances high or not?

Should I put 1 or 2 sch as a safety net among the 6 choices ??? I I put 1 Safety choice which is 10 point lower or I should put another choice which is more than 10 point lower than tscore.

Very fast. Less than 30 minutes.
You can even appeal to schools that are not in yr 6 choices.
Provided you are above cop.

Omg so fast 30 min u can know your appeal successful or not....wow

No lah. 30mins you will only know whether you can appeal or not. It can take up to a week for some schools to get back to you. Most will take at least 3 days.

I was told , student still report to the allocated sec sch n after that go to the desired sch to appeal, but does anyone know what is the waiting time to know your appeal is successful or not?

My opinion only, decision is up to you and your DD πŸ™‚ --> Better try than never try (SCGS IP). Ask how you or your DD would you feel if actual COP for SCGS IP goes to 250 when the posting results are out and you didn't give it a shot. Your choice (4) is a good safety net. Even if your DD got rejected if cutoff is 252 or 251, you will still likely get Chung Cheng. But if you got bounced out at 250 because of some decimal points, you can still try to appeal and your case would be stronger with SCGS IP as a (first) choice and I believe schools will make an overall assessment with other 250-appeals on case-by-case basis like the kid's usual P6 performance, with HCL vs without HCL, proximity from home, ranking of choices (maybe), etc.

But how would we know the cut off point after posting? Where can we check?

Can someone advise me of my choices-Β

My tscore 250 + 2

1st - Rv SAP ( cop 252)
2nd - scgs 'o' level ( cop 252)
3rd - cedar 'o' level ( cop 250)
4th - Chung Cheng main SAP 'o' level ( cop 242)
5th - nan chiau SAP 'o' level (cop 244)
6th - nan hua SAP 'o' level ( cop 245)

I suppose Chung Cheng is a safe choice to fall back on, and so unlikely need to go to 5th or 6th choices. If you would like, can consider put SCGS IP somewhere before or after RV, depending on your preference, just in case SCGS IP cutoff is lowered this year.

Initially my girl wanted to put scgs IP as 1st choice but historically scgs ip has not gone lower than 252. My girl tscore only 250 as her hmt +2 point cannot be used for scgs. Very limited choices for 250 score
