Just wondering … are there any RI CO / WL offered to MS under the languages domain ?

I called up HCI and RI. HCI confirmed will not be able to reschedule date nor time as it is a huge event and lots of resources need to organise the DSA tests /interview. RI said need to write in with reason. At most delay by 1 hr, lady confirmed cannot change date. This is as of this morning at 9am+. Parents pls kindly update if there are changes. Thanks.

May I know what awards/achievements are required/useful for Chinese domain? I am asking for a friend whose P5 son is very strong in CL and HCL but she is not aware of any competitions for CL. The school teachers apparently have no idea... Thanks!

Just called up HCI. They will not re-schedule if you kid cannot make it. They said it is because it is a big event and have mobilised staff and pupils for the event. So it is not possible to arrange special sessions for those who cannot make it.


Are these kind of clash common in the past? Not easy to decide which one to forego. If only we know which one has higher chance.

According to RI website, the half day program is on 30 July for Academic Domain. Just wondering where is the split between the interview and the half day domain session ?


For those who receive email from RI, may I know if they are from GEP?

RI website said they will inform between 18 to 27 July if need to attend half day session. So that means, there are interviews prior to the half day session?

So far from this DSA 2016 link, only GEP and selected MS students are notified of their interview dates. From past experiences, if these kids performed well, they do not need to go for half day domain camp. The half day domain camp are for those who did not do well during the interviews and for the rest of the mainstream which are shortlisted by RI. Not sure if there are any changes for this year, so this is just based on past experiences.

I think you are right. Just called up RI. Selected pupils are notified to attend the interview. For MS shortlisted pupils, they will receive notification by this Friday to attend the domain related test on 30 July. This group of pupils will not have any interview.

I got my copy at Jem Kinokuniya.

We have applied for GAT on 17 June. We cant submit the documents as we are still waiting for the replacement cert for ABRSM which may take a while.

Well, you wouldn't know better until you submit the hardcopy personally. They will let you know on the spot whether or not GAT is required.
