I am New here. my child is entering tao nan next yr 2017, and i was told by the student care that hey have only 30seats available.
which meant i have to look for the other student care outside the school compound, but did school any any school bus service to bedok area and how is the charges like?
do anyone have any good recommendation for the student care to introduce at bedok area?

We also stay at Bedok. I checked with Hot Shotz and Masterhand last time. Masterhand had vacancies at that time and Hot Shotz eventually had one a few months later. Hot Shotz is one street away from Tao Nan and has their own shuttle bus service to send kids to Bedok at around 6:30 pm. If timing is not an issue to you, you should check it out. But we chose to stay at the previous student care centre at Bedok and use the school's own shuttle bus service to get back to Bedok.

For school bus, check out http://www.taonan.moe.edu.sg/about_us/vendors.html for the contact of the shuttle bus provider to Bedok, Mr Poo. We managed to negotiate him to agree to go a little bit further to send my son to Bedok North.

My son is transferring to Tao Nan for P4 in 2016. We need to find him a student care centre. So far checked with YMCA and Hot Shotz. Both are full. Only managed to contact Just Kids HQ which told me that they will not be providing student care service next year

Are there any other choices of a near by student care centre?

We stay at Bedok. If there are Bedok student care centres that provide transportation service, we would also consider.

I know there are quite a few student care centres in Bedok. I was just researching them months ago. Morning Star was one of them... but at this point it might be waitlist. Try googling, Bedok has quite a few around!

UPDATE: Masterhand at east coast road has vacancies. But it's too inconvenient for us. We ended up staying at the current student care at Bedok and taking the school bus.

For P1-P6,

Mon to Thurs, 7.40am - 1.40pm
Fri only, 7.40am - 12.40pm

Flag raising 7.30am, so pupils to report to school 7.25am

Do the kids have snacks during the recess? Lunch is only after 1:40pm? Feel like quite late for them, given that they start at 7:25am.

Next year all P1-P6 single session; no more morning vs afternoon session logistic headaches !

Hi Everyone,


My son born in 2006, suppose to enter P1 in 2013. However, we might be going overseas for a while.

My question is: if we go to Australia and enroll him in P1 there in 2012, can he come back and join P2 in singapore in 2013? MOE seems to have strict rule in age. Does it mean that if he join primary school in 2013, he could only join P1?

anyone got similar experience? still struggling to decide whether to apply and do volunteer work as the oversea trip is not 100% confirmed.
