Hi all! I am new here, need some help from all of you. Is there any good tuition centre at Sengkang or Punggol for Sec 2 & Pri 2 in this area?

In my opinion, MAVIS @ Rivervale plaza is pretty gd. Small class size, notes, worksheets, assessment bks & all. My son was there last yr but i decided to switch him to a private tutor this yr cz i cld nt commit d time to send & fetch him.

U may wanna check dat place out...

      Hi chic_mom

Err.. Monfort and St. Gab's are sister schools. Out of curosity, what's Monfort like?

I was considering Monfort years ago, but registered my son into St Gab's because the holding school then was nearer to my home.
      brother schools.. šŸ˜„
Montfort is a pretty gd sch i must say.. with a long history. Niche: badminton. 'ey expose boys to lots of CCA fm P1. Everything was ok until recently, wif d change of principal. Discipline wise, therz a tremendous drop. Well, i wasn't d only 1 who whines abt it.. most others whom i spoke to share pretty much d same frequency. šŸ˜ž

can i find out the cost per pax and schedule? what are the average kids age?

      $160/10 lessons.

Looking for age 3-5 to start a group first.
If there's demand for older kids, they will bring in another coach once minimum student reached.

      I'm looking at Sunday afternoon/evening.

I'm fm SK. Count me in.. My DD is 5, has potential. If there is no respond fm others to form d group, gez i'll send my DD to Stars Soccer Network.

      Anybody else..? šŸ˜„ šŸ˜„

I've applied for a transfer for my DS fm Montfort Junior to St. Gabriel.

Am šŸ™ praying šŸ™ he'll get a slot for P3 next yr based on his P2 results & merits.

      Hi all,

i am new to this thread. As i will be moving to hougang soon.i also put montfont jr into consideration due to convenient wise. Will be attending the open house this sat.Certainly hope that ths sch is not as bad as some of the coments here šŸ˜„
My DS is currently in P2 in MJS. Honestly, i still prefer d former principal. D current one is new to d sch(barely 5 mths or so) & i can clearly notice there's a drop in discipline standard since. šŸ˜ž

I'll b transferring my boy out by year end due to some bad bad experience.

      Best wishes.

just based on speaking and they stream? kinda unfair but again, its only primary 1 and maybe the teachers want to ensure the get the kids of the same wave-length together. however, what if the kid that particular day don't wish to communicate? why you ask them the reason for such \"streaming\"?

I rmred my daughter was given a set of english & maths qns. But it was really simple according to my DD. D communication tingy is juz some kind of ice-breaker stuffs so that d girls don't feel so lost i gez. šŸ˜Ž šŸ˜Ž

      Hihi..

My girl is currently in P1, OLGC. Thanks to d low birthrate in '03, we managed a slot for her w/o having to ballot. šŸ™

I must say that she is very comfortable in school, teachers r supportive towards child's learning needs & school is very ON. U'll get newsletters, e-mails & smses fm form teachers to notify parents on urgent matters like test dates, events, etc.

      :celebrate:

ideally is to transfer the offending party out, not your son, from the class
Suggested that, but according to d principal, chances shd b given to d bully. \"We shall forgive & let him learn fm his mistakes\". :stupid: & 1 more ting,
      .
      .
      .
I shd consider sending my boy to meet d sch counsellor for being quiet & \"withdrawn\". :x :x Guess d principal is confused or stg. :stupid:
