I conduct English tuitions for Primary School children. I currently conduct tuitions at my home in Sunny Spring Condo near Paya Lebar MRT (2 stops away).
My qualifications
I have a degree in social work from NUS and an advanced diploma in kindergarten teaching. I get an A1 for my “O” level chinese and an A2 for my “AO” chinese. My short story, “Numbers” won 2nd place in Faithwriters’ beginner short story contest. My short story, “Not Alone” was highly commended in Faithwriters’ beginner short story contest. My short story, “The uneducated Pastor Soh” is published by Spiritual Citizens: A Christian Fiction Anthology in Year 2015. My short story, “The Cold Man” is published by Woman of Faith magazine in Year 2022. My short story, “Dedicated to Jesus” is published by Souled out magazine in Year 2024. My short Ghost story, “The face of God” was published in True Singapore Ghost Stories Vol. 23. My novel, “Lucifer, God’s beloved son” is self-published on Amazon.com.
My experience
I gave free tuitions to underprivileged kids during my JC years. I also helped out at AWWA special school as a volunteer. I went onto pursue a degree in social work. During my degree, I conducted a parenting workshop on the developmental needs of preschool children and took on a part-time job as an assistant childcare teacher. After NUS, I gave tuition to a girl in primary 4 and her grades improve. After tutoring her for 6 months, I went on to pursue an advanced diploma in kindergarten teaching. I taught kindergarten children after my diploma. Teaching young children made me understood the fact that kids need a good teacher to motivate them to learn.
I try to be that good tutor even as I tried to be a good kindergarten teacher. I hope you entrust your child to me for their English needs. Since I taught both as a tutor before and as a teacher at PCF Teck Ghee Kindergarten, I had the experiences needed to teach your child.

I don’t teach secondary school children, or JC students. As I specialize in primary school children only, I am able to focus on your child’s educational needs.
Third reason why you should choose me above other tutors or tuition agencies is because I work with simple English when teaching how to read and write and does not use bombastic words. I work with your child at his or her level rather than trying to bombard him or her with many vocabularies and fanciful words.
Fourth reason why you should choose me above other tutors or tuition agencies is because I have a degree in social work. I understand a little about psychologies and child development. Remember, I even conduct a workshop on child development for parents at a kindergarten center as part of my project for my social work course. I know what a preschooler and primary school child can or cannot learn at his or her level of development and hence focuses on teaching only what he or she is able to learn at his or her current developmental level.

I scored an A1 for my “O” level Chinese and an A2 for my “AO” Chinese. If your child comes from a Chinese background and is poor in English, I am able to explain concepts to him or her in Chinese to help him or her better understands what is being taught.

I taught English there and am actually involved with teaching young children how to read and write. I have hands on experience in managing a group of children and they are active, being preschoolers. That puts me above other tutors who are only undergraduates and full time tutors with no teaching qualifications. Furthermore, I have an advanced diploma in kindergarten teaching.

I am a Christian and as a Christian, I believe education is not everything but your moral conduct matters as well. Hence, I will be a good role-model for your child in term of conduct and will impart positive values to him or her.
