Heard and read that 2A1 and 2A2 are merged this year. Distance priority within the phase didn’t seem to have been mentioned.

I am just wondering in time to come, will there be priority preferential treatment ie. for Phase 2A, will admit those within 1km, then 1-2km or ballot if more than 1km?
Exactly, all by distance except for Phase 1, as of now you can still move house if elder child is still in the school, so far never heard of phase 1 need to ballot but with this trend of set aside more and more for 2C, I think it is likely

From the number, what I can conclude is prior to this year, there are really lots of seats taken by ppl who stay beyond 2km or even the other end from the school.

If the strategy is to get those stay nearby to have more opportunity, then I think it might really work this year.

Top 1/3 is str-fwd using PSLE T-Score, so as to prepare a whole battery of processes to award kids.

But COP of individual schools will depend on the cohort that applied to respective schools, which will only be determined after all Sec 1 places allocated.

How is it straight forward? The independent schools are just a collection of individual respective schools. How MOE know how many of those with 260 or above this year will choose independent schools? So the 260 is in reality a forecast based on top x% of PSLE T-scores. At the end of the day, the actual top one-third of those going to independent schools may be higher or lower than 260.

      What The:
Seems that most schools are doing away with reception, especially for academic domains? This leaves question marks in the minds of many parents...

How is your RGS DSA application?
