Not really sure. If I can remember correctly, my DD said median UAP is 85.
So, I think they have done pretty well overall for the majority of their subjects.

It's ok.... I am just curious how flexible is the flexibility.... Don't think there will be any answers from proper channels... Only insiders who have being in the school will know....
Hi Dino, this.. I am not sure. Maybe you can email the school to ask.
-

Does that mean that i can choose ART, get in but choose a combi that is totally science? school allow?
This perspective resonates with me. I feel there’s good value (for a student) in being able to choose subjects freely.
-

But somehow it is still the wishlist of kids to take triple science. At least that is what I have heard so far from other friends who say their kids aiming triple science. Maybe its the prestige or wanting to avoid another humanities. Aiya end of the day, be it black cat or white cat, so long the kid enjoys and can do well, that is the most impt.......
My recommendation is to avoid Triple Science + Higher Art.
Triple Science combi already minimally implies the following subjects:
English
Mother Tongue
E Math
A Math
SS/Humanities Elective
Pure Physics
Pure Chemistry
Pure Biology
That is already a whopping 8 subjects. 3 pure sciences + 2 math is already very time consuming (assuming you are hoping your child excels in all of them). Higher Art is a coursework subject and requires a lot of time after school to complete their submission. Coupled with the huge amount of homework for the other subjects + CCA (taking up leadership positions in Sec 3) + rest time (don't want to go crazy!), unless your child is a very gifted student, she might end up sleep-deprived and stressed out. -

In the past, my impression is that the Singaporean kids in Int'l Schools are those who generally did not fare well at PSLE or not thriving in the local schools. But nowadays, I am seeing more professional parents, and senior govt pp sending their kids to int'l schools, and not always because their kids are not thriving academically, but fundamentally, they believe it is a more rounded, less narrow education system, and better exposure.
haha end of the day its still abt money....... if you got money many many, u are already half way there cos you got 1 less thing to worry...... :rahrah:
If parents are willing to fork out that kind of money, the kids’ academic journey (and even future career path) will be rendered easier. I will think twice cos the fees are high but from examples I have seen, the money is well spent!lee_yl\" post_id=\"2023467\" time=\"1620629270\" user_id=\"17023:
Yes. Plus the IB is probably and arguably, the most widely recognized pre-university qualification worldwide. Hence naturally, many (globe-trotting) parents do favour the IB.
There are a significant number of S'porean students in ACS/SJI/HC International Schools
