Tamarind,My boy enjoys the class, so my hb & I have decided to keep him there & just wait for him to progress to the next class. The next class focuses more on reading skills & some simple writing skills, so it’ll be more beneficial.He already know all the letter sounds through watching Leapfrog DVDs & he likes the series on blending sounds.I’ve also given feedback to the centre about introducing the letter sounds & they said that they’ll try slow down & let the kids learn.

slmkhoo:atrecord:Btw, old HDB flats could only support aircon systems of a certain capacity, so maybe simkhoo had that problem too. The Daikin I have in my 4-rm HDB is a 4+1 split. It was the only model we could install in 2000 when aircon installation required permit to be approved by HDB. It is i think a 28,000 BTU system, but the 3 room units were 9,000 BTU each, and the living room one was 15,000 BTU. So max it can cool is either 3 rooms together, or living plus 1 room. Beyond that, can switch on, but not cool... But the 29-yo flat just gone through upgrading works which include electrical upgrading. I think now can support bigger-capacity units that can cool more area/rooms together.Hope this helps...Thanks! my son devours books… we try to invest in good books as and when we see them on the shelves… reading helps develop alot of things but good composition is not one of them… so with that in mind, when my son reads, he reads for the pure fun of it… most of the the time he’ll pick up the dictionary if the word is too difficult.other times he just gets the gist of it and moves on…

I have 2 girls, so I started telling and re-iterating the fact that they should not allow anyone to touch them as soon as they can understand. I took the opportunity to tell them while bathing them when they were much younger, about 4 or 5 years old.I reminded them specifically that even if a man claims to be a policeman, he also cannot body search them, only a policewoman can do so. It's a bit extreme maybe, but I told them if someone claims to be police, it is absolutely fine for them to still call 999 for the real police to arrive.I also tell them that while in a clinic, if a doctor needs to examine them physicall, mummy or a nurse has to be around, otherwise, no.And I send them for Taekwando classes too, and tell them to kick where it hurts if any stranger tries to grab them.
