RE: yelling by teacher everyday in school
Hi, i am new to this forum and as i was reading this subject, i would also like to share my experience.
My child is also in a similar situation now in K1 childcare. Her form teacher came on board a year ago and my kid had been telling us he had been yelled at by the teacher almost everyday. We heard it ourselves when we fetch him back in the evening and it is really loud and she did it right in front of all his classmates.
He shared with us that this teacher is very fierce and shouted louder than a lion. We told him not to talk about a tecaher this way but he said he is very scared and that he is very confused and don’t know what he had done wrong as he was punished for almost everything. The punishment was either to stand outisde the classroom or sleep outside along a corridor during nap time.
We were very concerned as parents and tried to talk to the teacher but all she mention is he is very naughty but could not give us specific examples.
She mentioned she had asked his fellow classmates to watch him and report to her if he misbehave but that is creating a problem as his classmates are all picking on him. Unfortunately, numerous talks with her had failed to make any difference.
We also tried on our end to talk to our kid and he is very stressed up that he is having nightmares quite often plus getting very upset. he keep saying that it is not fair why he was punished when he did not do it and why his classmates who did it got away…
As next year will be his K2, we are now in a dilema as to whether we should change his school or try to change class only…
Any advice would be much appreciated.
