    • RE: how to slim down

      Mummies,

      I hv found a best and natural way to slim down. It seems very easy.

      1/ You only need determination to complete your target or mission.

      2/ You only need to remember: SEPARATE carbohydrates food from fat food. That is it.

      3/ Finish!

      Do not eat food contains carbohydrate together with food contains fat during a meal. You may eat carbohydrates food at 8am, then eat food contains fat after 3 hours i.e. 11am. Or vice versa.

      If you are eating fried chicken/fish (frying oil - fat), do not eat with bread, rice/bee hoon/etc, potatoes/carrots (flour/starch - carbohydrates). You may eat with other vegetables. No soft drink as it contains glucose which is in same category with carbohydrates (Coz after digestion, end product of carbohydrates food will be glucose).

      You will lose weight naturally. Unable to gain any weight by doing so.

      I lost 5 kgs in 1.5 mths by doing so. My DH lost 9 kgs by doing so too. It hits my target. So now I can eat foods contains both categories (carbohydrates and fat) together as I do not wish to keep on losing weight!

      You are welcomed LollipoppyS!

      In that case, sorry, I don’t know… I am not aware of the existence of parent support group in Kheng Cheng. Maybe others who know it can offer you some elaboration on it.

      1. Yes. All students must have one CCA. P1 & P2 no CCA, they called it Pal lessons. Kind of exposure for different fun activities like arts, agriculture, sports, dance, performance etc.

      I think all students love these pal lessons. My kids enjoyed it SO much.

      2. I noticed some students do have two CCA. They are talented in one of it and being selected for training on it. Then they still choose the other one for fun. However, I am not sure how are they spliting their time for it.

      3. Yes. P5 and P6 do have a lot of extra lessons after sch hours.

      4. No. Or at least I should say no active parent support group. Parents are usually take initiative themselves to contact or make friend with other parents.

      To me, this is a very good neighbourhood sch.

      Sch hours 7.30am to 1.30pm.
      CCA on Thursday morning 7.30am to 9.30am. So students no need to go back to sch on Saturday morning for CCA.

      Most of teachers are very caring, on and communicative. Easily reach teachers via sms, whatspp or email, or else call to office. Usually they reply very fast, promptly or in same working day, depends how busy are the teachers.

      Office staffs are friendly.

      P1 to P2 will have 8 classes. P3 to P6 squeezed to 6 classes. Overall, 2 classes are more academic oriented, 2 classes are average classes and the other 2 classes are slightly weaker academic classes. Students who are really weak in academic will be required to attend "pull out" class while other classmates are having normal English lessons. Or attend remedial class after school hours. Students who are in academic oriented classes will be required to attend supplementary class after sch hours once a week… to further training them for additional skills in Math or Eng. Students who are very good in Math will be required to attend additional Math class after sch once a week for "Math Olympiad" class.

      Food choices in canteen are variety. 4 counters - Western food, Chinese delights, Drinks, Noodle House.

      James and Kim shared some cookies equally.
      After James gave Kim 28 cookies, Kim had twice as many cookies as James.
      How many cookies did each of them receive at first?

      mother777:
      Ok here goes my method..

      There are 8 goats and ducks altogether.
      Some had 2 legs and some had 4 legs.
      The animals have 20 legs in all.
      How many goats are there?

      Answer..
      Assume all are ducks..
      each duck-->2 legs
      If 8 ducks, total legs-->8 x 2 = 16
      balance legs-->20-16 = 4
      these extra legs are from goats.
      each goat 2 extra leg.
      so number of goat-->4/2 = 2

      Goat-->2
      duck-->8-2 = 6..
      Thanks mother777. My child's teacher used exactly the same method as yours!
