You and your spouse will have to do a tag team. One at each school so that immediately after one withdraws, the other can apply immediately.

This is a very nice blog on dinosaur exhibitions that have been held in Singapore.

    • Dinosaurs in Singapore's natural history museum

While reading Ria Tan's 'Wild Shores of Singapore\" blog, she made an interesting post on the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research fund raising effort to hopefully raise $12million by 31 July 2011 to bring three diplodocid (long -necked, long-tailed) dinosaurs to Singapore, where they will take pride of place in the new natural history museum at the National University of Singapore.

Just wondering whether mummies and daddies here will be excited to bring their kids to see the dinosaurs if they ever manage to become residents here!

where can I go to buy chinese story books for DDs..? I am a fan of borders but their mandarin selection is limited....

Bras Basah Complex has a few shops that specialize in children's books. Can try Maha Yu Yi.

    • RE: All About Guzheng/Pipa

I am not sure whether the yangqin is a suitable instrument for kids to learn to play as a first musical instrument. There are lots of strings (144!) to maintain and unless you are very musically inclined and do not mind tuning the strings on a regular basis. You will need to tune the guzheng strings too but I guess 21 strings will be a lot less hassle!

    • RE: New Daddy BLUES !! HELP NEEDED !!

My dd only started speaking after two years old and now, she talks non-stop as if she is making up for lost time! We often wondered why we were so worried at that time when she was slower in vocalisation when compared to her peers. To echo MadScientist’s comments, I think you are doing a brilliant job as a father and I am sure that one day, your efforts will be rewarded.

    • RE: [Bukit Merah] Primary Schools

I have found that visiting the schools during their open house could give you a better sense of the environment instead of relying ranking alone. It would be even better if you bring your kid along and ask them for their ‘feel’ of each school. I went to the open house organized by GESPD, ZDPS and CHIJ Kellock, and we have made up our mind where to send the resident rascal for P1.
