Hi 25 hr mama, I've not received any calls from Rgs.
Do you want to call Rgs to clear your doubts instead?
25hr mama:Thanks soda for the response. Yes, my dd is in year 1, & that's exactly why I'm puzzled over this need for update as the numbers were given to the school just recently. If the update is for Yr 2 to Yr 4 pupils, that I can understand, as this has been a common practice in dd's Primary school too, requesting for update from P2 to P6 pupils, usually at the beginning of each year.soda:
Hi all, just like to check whether anyone of u received call from the school regarding update of parents mobile numbers? I just did, but feeling a bit puzzled & apprehensive why the school need to do this, it's just the beginning of the school year, and all these information had just been given to them when filling up all the required forms recently. Actually I'm worried could this be a fraud or something.... Am I over paranoid?!
No call from school. Is it only for yr 1s?
The school does SMSs to parents sometimes. Usually, its about some important messages or when your dd is absent.
When I received the call, my heart pumped so fast when the caller told me it's from RGS, as it is Yr 1 Camp Day in school, I was worried whether could it be that my dd is unwell or has had a fall or something. When I was told its abt update of mobile numbers, was a bit apprehensive. Actually thought of asking the caller whether she has our numbers on hand since all these info. has been given earlier to the school, and felt like requesting for her to read the numbers to me instead for confirmation. But finally I just gave my numbers to her, as I thought she may find it offensive.
Perhaps, other Yr 1 parents here can share, whether u received call from RGS too?
i hope you're getting really excited about starting this new chapter of your life
