baby2momma:My maid will bring her down to wait for school bus. But because I have a younger child at home, so I will not want my maid to bring my elder girl to school. That's the reason.hi honeybeel, looks like u & i hv something in common too - all 3 schools r within 1km..... if yr child is more inclined to ccas, maybe u shld consider YT; and I wld think for YT, most likely you can get in quite 'safely' at 2c....
but sorry i don't understand :? even if your girl is takign school bus, someone also need to take her down to wait for bus rite??

Anna Ng:
Unity is the nearest to me, just opposite my home. However, think it is really too risky to enrol in Unity. Also, I quite like the CCA in Yew Tee, so I am more skew to Yew Tee. Unity, DLS, Yew Tee all within 1km. DLS will definitely out because of the relocating issue. :roll:Dear all: Thanks for your advise, sharing and discussion. I already have backup plan if really out via balloting. And also, i am mentally prepared for the good or bad result.
Dear honeybeel, which school is nearer to your house? for me i will choose the nearest as both Unity & YW are good school, but looking at the registered no, seem like Unity is a bit risky. Keep in touch and do share with us.
If enrol in Yew Tee, my girl will need to take school bus, as no one available to bring my girl to school in the afternoon.

Hi,yup - no. will stay in the range 100-130. i still insist the shift has some concern in some parents minds... so if ballot; those within 1km again....
no la - i saw another mummy's prediction on unity & YT will kena within 1km ballot instead which i m quite sure. esp unity since they only hv 67 seats for an average of 100++ (as per history) plus i stay opp unity and unity is REALLY surrounded by flats coz school is right in middle of ALL flats. hence, the radius for 1km is really huge comprising of mainly all flats.
YT is at a corner; not so conveniently located; at least for me; and i'm sure for some others....
yup - this whole week till 11 Aug is a downtime in terms of work for me too !!
mebbe others reading our posts oso wanna laugh at the both of us - the whole cck thread only belong to both of us. :celebrate:
I follow this thread very closely, also enjoy reading the thread. I am eyeing Yew Tee and Unity. Seems like not much discussion about this 2 school. Will go to the both school at the big day. Also will bring my girl, see which one she is more comfortable with.
Good luck to all parents registering P2C. -

Hi Worry Mum,Hi Parents,
Hope the above information helps.....
Thanks for the info.
I've checked the website, my girl's record also there even immunisation is not done at Polyclinic. Think it is required for the clinic to update the info to the immunisation registry. -

Only the original will do, right? DO they need copy for all the document?buds:
It's Health Booklet dear...

Hehe, now I remember that  I better do my check list tonite to ensure everything is in place. So, to bring things are:
1) child birth cert
2) parents i/c
3) immunisation certs.
Saw in the website never mentioned about photocopies?
Anyone, advice please. Thanks. -

me also lah.....i guess we both live around the blocks of unity; hence yew tee & DLS are all within 1km too..... there is a good choice for all 3 schools but likely like what chief mentioned earlier, a higher probable balloting success chance wld be unity as compared to dls....as for yew tee, they still hv slight vacancies for phase 2c supp according to past years but this year; if unity starts turning disappointed parents away, they wld go for yew tee (if there are still vacancies for 2c supps la!!)
ME also in dilema whether to register P2C at Unity, knowing that the vaccancy is so limited although just staying across the school...sigh...
Or should just register at Yew Tee to safe as Yew Tee also within 1km.
Just worry if I not sucessful in P2C at Unity, but also no vacancy for P2C (S) at Yew Tee....Really headache....
:?: :?: :?:
Let pray for the best. -

baby2momma:
DLS is affiliated to SJI so if your child is a boy - the PSLE aggregate points for entry into the above school will be lower but there is a minimum cut-off.
Also, being a mission school, the emphasis on Chinese is not that strong.
So you may want to take the above 2 factors into consideration.
any idea about yew tee pri??? seems over these years, performance has escalated....... or yew tee & unity same same type???
i know that if i fail to get a place in DLS, confirm cannot get into unity under phase 2c supp..... and even yew tee....can forget it.....

Yes, it is out of my expectation. Don't know still have chance for Unity, eventhough staying <1km. Not many vacancy left for 2C I guess. Sigh...need back up plan already. I have checked from the SLA website, Yew Tee Pri still within <1km, and it has more vacancies compare to Unity. Should have better chance, right? Help, just very worried that can't get a nearby primary school of choice for my girl.Dear CCK Mummy:
Any one got any comment about the P1 registration after the Phase 1? seem like Unity is a black horse.
Thanks
Anna Ng
I wonder why this year the total vacancies is less than previous years, how they determine no. of classes every year? -
