The school management of the JCs all know the results profile of their students - but this is not disclosed, even to the wider teacher group. I would say, unless you have heard from a JC principal/ VP/ school leader, none of us actually authoritatively know the difference in level of performance between JAEs and IP students within each school.

What is a fact is that there is a very large degree of overlap and there will be many JAE students who outperform IP students, and vice versa. If the distinction was so clear cut and PSLE is such a definitive indicator of subsequent performance, then what is the point of JAE. I totally agree that in RI, HCI and all other IP JCs, the top classes will have a mix of JAE and IP students.

Perhaps moe should place IP students into mid tier JCs, monitor their performance.
Im sure these JCs stds sure shoot up.

Do you know what you are talking about? And you are also underestimating JAE students due to your own obsessive bias.

Maybe should inject IP students into NYJC. Else forever NYJC dares not disclose NYJC’s 4H2 performance. Or can help NYJC clinch a couple of PSC Scholarships?[/quote]Yes, should inject IP into NYJC mainly so can improve its std even more n to mid tier JCs. Gd idea.

Also, inject instead 80% IP students into EJC, you hoping?
So EJC can clinch PSC Scholarships to satisfy ur own obsessive bias.

Comparing RV results year 2019 to 2020
      A) 3 H2 dist
      - 36.9% (2019), 25% (2020)
      B) 3H2 passes including a pass in General Paper.
      - 98.4% (2019), 97.5% (2020)
      C) 4H2 passes including a pass in General Paper.
      -99.2% (2019), 98.5% (2020)
      D) students scored a perfect University Admissions Scores (UAS) of 90 rank points
      - 28 kids (2019), 19 (2020)
      E) scored at least 85 rank points.
      - 43.3% (2019), 30%+ (2020)
      F) achieved at least 6 distinctions
      - 67 kids (2019), 48 (2020)

This is a concern seeing these results.
Its comparable to a mid Tier JC.

Good year to year comparisons I must say. But I am not concerned or triggered about comparing with other JCs. Even my yr 6 daughter can see beyond that. Steady lah.

Compared RV results to say results of Mid Tier ASRJC, TMJC, SAJC, ACJC or even TJC , yes you shouldnt worry.
But to top tier JCs, should press panic button.
      Something questionable with RV teaching?

It's callous to label JAE students (w/o offering any concrete proof but pure conjecture I must add) as 2nd class citizens in our IP JC.

Even in the top classes in RJC (e.g. those offering double RA), there were JAE students who qualified and IP students who didn't.

The school management of the JCs all know the results profile of their students - but this is not disclosed, even to the wider teacher group.
