I would like to share my view as a parent on CH.


Some might agree and some might not agree.

There are many ups and downs while my 2 kids were with CH. I would say not all the time you will get good teachers. Sometimes the best teacher might be at the next door class and there are times your favorite teacher will be transfer to another center.

There was one incident, CH had a really bad teacher and that made many parents complained about her. It was so bad that a group of parents have to go to the principle office to shout and ‘bang’ at the table in order for them to change the teacher.

I have come across good teachers which is worth the money to send my children to CH. I even meet teachers who simply teach just to clock the hours in school, in another word she didn’t have the heart to teach the children.

The reason why I am sharing this is because I am aware that the school fees has been rising every year. The school fee can be more expensive than the university tuition fee. It is up to the parent to think if it is worth sending the child to such expensive school.

I would strongly discourage parent to send your child to Turf as long as the principle Selina is still managing the center. The standard drop, children might not be as happy as you think and the turn over rate is high. Most of the good teachers had left and there will be more leaving next year. It is hard to feedback to them because Fiona Walker is not willing to listen to you.

If you are able to afford to go CH, you should be able to afford to find a better school compare to CH.

Not surprising, I came across some rich parents who not willing to amid the standard of CH has drop and they still continue to burn their money in this school.

Anyone tried ‘I lOVE LEARNING’ at Westgate?

I would like to know what do the children do for ‘show and tell’ in primary school. Please advice how to prepare them.

I wish to enroll my gal into SCGS, which not too far away from my house.


However, I heard of SCGS students like to compare materials such as branded cars, how many cars at home, some might have at least 2 cars, whoever stays in condo or landed property. I find this scary and I would be very upset if my gal turns out to be someone who is successful in career but no wisdom or even someone who had no heart for the unfortunates. I know there are many doctors and lawyers who enroll their girls in this school. I was just wondering if this is what the Singapore doctors and lawyers mindset? Why are these girls comparing materials in this age?

I have been searching for schools and looking into websites.

To be honest PARENT VOLUNTEER is rubbish!!!
All schools are the same.
1)\tEvery Primary class takes in 30 students
2)\tEach teacher has to teach 10 classes per day
3)\tDon’t you think the above is stressful enough for the teachers?
4)\tIt is the parents themselves who volunteered that build up the stranded
5)\tSo the credit should be given to the parents and not the school.
6)\tYes, you can be a volunteer community leader to help you to get into the popular school. I just felt the government is making use of this system, if not our neighborhood will turn chaos.


Just my view want to vent out!

May I know when is the open house?

Why nobody go Teck Whye Primary school? Is the area too comparative? Or they are seriously lousy? Or parent intend to blindly believe those schools are better? We come from the same place Chua Chu Kang why there is a huge diff in Teck Whye school and other schools. I rem correctly last year PSLE top student had impressive result. What is the passing rate to go express for the pass 2 years?

Can any parents here give advice in how to be a volunteer in this school?
