RE: Sleeping Problem
Hi, my DD of 8 year old recently has this sleeping problem. She has being having cough on Apr till May & recover on Jun. Along these few months, she went for swimming class & after the class, she tend to have cough non stop.
On Jun, since we came back from holiday, she has this sleeping problem. During daytime, no coughing at all.
At night when she deep asleep, she will suddenly cough 1 or 2 times, sit up straight away & seems like catching breath. She was like trying to vomit but unable to. After a min, she went back to sleep. This has being happening for every night for a weeks plus now.
In fact during holiday, I gave her some raw manuka honey (5+ UMF) to drink to reduce some hot weather. Not sure if this drink causes her to have the issue.
She has went to see ENT specialist a week ago & was given nasonex spray & telfast. She has her tonsils & adenoid remove 3 - 4 years ago as it causes her to have fever & flu every month. Was told by specialist that she was allergy to soft toy & etc.
I tried elevate her pillow but still happening. Does anyone’s DS or DD has this problem?
Thanks all reply in advance. -
RE: Gan Eng Seng Primary
Hi, this tread is getting quieter compare to past year.
After reading thru all the pages, seems GESPS was a good neighbourhood school. As the school was just opposite my house, travelling was a matter to me. Initiately was thinking of Alexandra primary school but after considering the distance and travelling time, it seems not a good choice for me. Sending my girl to Alexandra primary school is ok, only after school we can take transport. Then again, time & money is a concern.
Oh, my girl is going to enrol P1 next yr. So GESPS & Alexandra Primary school is my consideration.
Can anyone tell me how was the school like now? As in academic & CCAs? Or as in overall? The principal & teachers? Are they caring or responsive to students & parents?
Thanks. -

Thanks Babystarlet. How was the school education there? Does the children feels stressful?Sch starts at 730am. Ends at 130pm.
The sch bus costing depends on ur distance.
So meaning my girl can just take one way transport? Do I call the school for more transport information or call to the transport company directly? -
RE: Alexandra Primary
Hi, has anyone taken their school transport? How much was it per month?
Im thinking if my girl was able to get into the school, we will bring her to school in the morning and let her take school transport back to her house. Can this be done?
Any idea what time does the school starts?
Thanks. -
RE: 2017 P1 Registration Exercise for 2018 In-Take
qms:
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully to get into the 1st choice.
Well, if you talk about balloting history, you shouldn't only look at one year, right? Last year was the only year Zhangde had vacancies in P2CS. If you continue down the table to look at prior years' statistics, you will notice that the school had all vacancies taken up by P2C. Last year was an exception for many schools, too.lostkitty:
However, I look at the balloting history for Zhangde, there seems to be available slots under P2Cs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
For GESPS, its <1km and directly opposite my flat. For QPS, its 1km - 2km.
As for the other two schools, you are considered safe.
Personally, I find not difference among Zhangde, GESPS and QPS. Hence, if your child can't get into Alexandra (touch wood), I think the best is to choose a school nearest to your house. Just my two cents, for your consideration. -

If balloting require at phase 2C and not selected by the school, I would need to go phase 2Cs. For this phase, I'm looking at Gan Eng Seng, Zhangde & queentown. Which school will be a better as in curriculum? And what are the chances being able to get into the school?
Zhangde may not be available to you because all vacancies are usually taken up by P2C. The other two schools shouldn't be that much different in curriculum, so you may like to take into consideration the CCAs offered. What distance category are you in for GESPS and QPS?
For GESPS, its <1km and directly opposite my flat. For QPS, its 1km - 2km.
