as for cca timing, understand chongzheng cca is within school hours?
as for yumin, is there later school bus trip to bring the kids home after cca?

There is student care centre in both CZ and Yumin.

I have been considering Yumin and Gongshang. Yumin for their signature programmes and Gongshang just because it’s popular. Can anyone provide more information on the culture and environment of Gongshang? TIA.

A year has passed since. M girl has learned so much from school, still a little shy but has more confidence now, thanks to her patient and encouraging teachers. They did a great job teaching them phonics. With the foundation, she can finally make progress with the Peter and Jane series at home.


Now my younger girl attends Pre-Nursery there too. She absolutely love going to school.

Hi Mini-Bug, the current principal now Mdm Rhao was from Raffles Girls. I would say this school is not bad for a neighbourhood school. Nowadays they do not overly emphasize on academic only as they want to promote holistic all-rounder education.

For the past few years Yumin won many awards for being such a school, and also they have had 100% PSLE passing rates too.

Thanks for the feedback, Mommarazzi! Good to hear that they don't over emphasize on academics. I do want my girl to enjoy going to school. That is most important to me because a happy child makes life easy for for parents I am just curious why Yumin is not as popular as many other schools in Tampines. :scratchhead:

Can anyone give a review of the school? We’re planning to register our girl for 2018 P1 but there are no reviews about the school. The website isn’t very helpful either. TIA!

Considering Gongshang as first choice and Yumin as backup, under 2C. Both are >1km from our block. If I understood the ballot history correctly, there has always been balloting for SC >1km at Gongshang. Yumin always have balance seats. Which means PR stands no chance at Gongshang. Please correct me if I am wrong! Not planning to PV and application has closed anyway. Will be applying for SC (not for enrolment advantage but because I studied here since primary school and my girls will grow up here too, so may as well convert now). If not SC by the time of P1 registration, we will just enrol her at Yumin to save time and effort.

I can’t find much info or discussions on Yumin. Is anyone familiar with the school’s culture and performance?
