In the midst of meeting and discussing with various IDs. Think finding one who can get your ideas, can project manage well and have access to good contractors that have quality workmanship is a hit and miss thing also.

This is such a daunting project.

Aside from finding a suitable ID, I will have to look for temp accommodation for the duration of the reno which could take up to 4mths. Not to mention all the packing and storing that have to be done. I have half a mind to look for a new place instead of renovating our current.

Any good recommendation or suggestion for ID as well as for short term lease that can accommodate 4 persons and a dog?
Hi Funz

For short term accom: https://expatcorporate.com/
You might want to call this lady, Leslie at HP : +65 8418 4755
I rented from her for more than a month last year as they were hit by Covid. They have a few areas in Singapore.
All the Best!

P.S. For ids/contractors, please share if you find any good ones as I will be renovating my new place in the very near future.

My dadś 2nd dose was on 21 Apr. Today I received the SMS and could book the slot for booster dose on 5 Oct onwards. Hence this 6 mth apart is not a must. I have booked the slot for tmr. I really dont know if this is a correct decision for him.
They go by week, so is 6 months

Is there a website where one can check on the current clusters and their number of infected?
The news said the JEM/Westgate is the 2nd largest cluster after Changi Airport ???
https://ppvbc.github.io/

Not sure how accurate is this, but I have using it.

Stay safe everyone!

I am getting worried as the Changi Airport cluster is growing bigger and bigger. Worse than the TTSH cluster.

I don’t know if it‘s complacency again cos I find Changi Airport “dirty” and my family avoided Changi Airport terminals like plague since covid started. Don’t know why ppl still like to go Jewel. CAG/MOT must bear responsibility for this fiasco or not? All along we all know Changi Airport is “high risk” area, isn’t it?

Now, all shoppers who have been there recently better go for the swab!!
The Star Awards was held there recently 🙏 :xedfingers:

Hi all, I need some advice on crowning a tooth.

Is it safe?
Any risks or implications involved?
How do the crown get fixed in the mouth?
What is the cost?
Anyone has experience to share.

:thankyou:
That Acer laptop just passed its warranty period.

I had been busy n forgot to do the reset to factory defaults before the warranty period expires.
This reset has been done at least 4 times n still could not complete as the process hangs at different stages.

Should I just dump this $700+ laptop or send for repairs?

My Fujitsu showed the dreaded blue screen with the phrase Bugcode_USB_Driver today.

:gloomy: both laptops partnered to give me headaches.

Hi Jennifer

May I know why you need to reset to factory defaults before the warranty period expires?
Do you have a thumbdrive backup of the factory default?
How did you initiate your reset?
Windows 8 or 10?

This laptop is on Wins 10.
Very lagging in performance lately.
Some months ago, I reset it n the performance improved.
So I thought I should try the reset another time before I give it up 100%.
The first attempt was via the control panel, reset to factory defaults.
Subsequent attempt was Alt-F10 once the Acer logo appeared upon powering up.
Now the screen was moved on to Cortana assistant, passed the Welcome, Network, Account options.
Currently stucked at Services options.
I am going to sleep, will leave the laptop on till tomorrow morning, then see how it goes.
How is your laptop? Is it working now?
You mentioned there were some problems during the reformatting. Did you choose the complete cleanup or the partial one (OS only).

If you want to try the complete cleanup, do remember to backup your data.
