@luoluowuya You can consider Nan Hua first and the others with lots of vacancies in 2CS. My 2 cents. Everyone wants to try the lottery pool in 2C first.

RE: Are All Primary Schools The Same?
@tankee Govt did a great job convincing us that all schools are good. Actually if you think deeper, the good becomes the fundamental baseline.

You need to drop your 2A confirmed place if you want to try for 2B or 2C. It's a ga.mb.le. This is how the current system is designed. Fair or not, u ask the authorities.
@chief kiasu
Thanks for advise.
Is it possible to switch over after you have already registered in phase 2A? -

Day 3 stats will not be revealed to u during the application period. It's too dynamic and also I believe they don't want parents to overthink overanalyze too much.
Hi chief kiasu, How can we know how many students have been registered by day 3 phase 2C?
Wait for Chief to give more insights -

Hi. Have you considered applying RGPS for your daughter at Phase 2A since you are an alumni?
thanks for all the wonderful advice here.
my kid will be entering p1 in 2027. shes a singapore citizien.
im alumnus of RGPS. husband is not singaporean. currently renting a place in siglap, which we are used to.
was thinking of applying to ngee ann primary school, but not sure of our chances. or if its a good school (looking at conducive environment, safety - no vaping, mental health).
just wondering if i could hear some advice. or even other options i might not have considered. we dont rly have much time for volunteering to qualify for phase 2b. im not hokkien, so also cannot qualify for huay kuan. we are christian but not methodist. -

RE: Reddit forum : Is every school really a good school?
The discussion points touched on many raw nerves that are best left untouched as it’s too sensitive. Even the highly educated politicians want to siam the topic yet the commoners want to talk about it.

Yes. Distance between home and primary school is ranked lowest for well-to-do-families as they can easily rent a place with their free flow cash without a blink.
I think the order should be:
1) reputation
2) good teachers
3) distance away from your home
We wouldn't have any issue with P1 registration if everyone chooses based on what you suggested.
