    • RE: P1 Preparation - Chinese

      Hi All parents,

Recommend you to read this tips to teach Chinese in this link :
      http://www.chinese-artword.com/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=1153521

I also want to recommend you to download the ipad/iphone teaching app from Chinese-Artword Academy. I'm still using it. I think this app will help you to prepare your children for P1 Chinese.

      http://www.chinese-artword.com/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&rid=1153507

You can download the free app first, if you find it is useful and informative, then download the paid app for more characters.

    • RE: All About Market Rates of Private Tutors

Every time my son come back from tuition class, he will tell me lesson is \"ok\". But the outcome is always disappointing in every test.

After 2 years, I gave up to send him to tuition class. I teach him Chinese myself base on school text books and apps which I download from Appstore. (search \"teach Chinese, learn Chinese, etc... )

      Finally, he passed.

Check out this site for good app references.

Pay more for good result. I think this is fair.

Sign a contract with the tutor, to achieve at least grade A.
What do you think the tutor reply?

    • RE: Chinese Dyslexia

      Hi Adam,

Don't panic. HYPY is not everything in Chinese.
Common symptoms of any dyslexics are low esteem and low confident, so you have have to stay firm and keep cool in front of him. Show him that you are confident to help. Do not scold him if he forget some words which he had just learn, since you know he might be a dyslexic. Keep small progress everyday, and he will appreciate.

These articles might be useful to you: http://www.chinese-artword.com/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=1153521

I found this site through an app. Search \"Chinese dyslexia\" in Apple Appstore.
