If you are still looking, I know an experienced tutor. She teaches Pre-school to Secondary school students. She has been teaching for about 21 years. 13 years in mainland china and 8 in Singapore. She is patient and loves children. After my children was taught by her, they were able to attain A1 for their express chinese O paper and A stars for their PSLE chinese paper. As of what I know, many of her other students have done well for their chinese under her. She also has experience in teaching at tuition centres in Singapore If you are interested, please pm me for more details.

The first thing they should do is disallow teachers to moonlight..

If I remember correctly, MOE does not allow teachers to moonlight. If teacher want to moonlight, they have to get approval from the principal and the moonlighting is not allowed to exceed 6 hours per week. Please correct me if I am wrong. 😛

Is it? I see a lot of MOE teachers moonlighting but nothing has happened.[/quote] The school has no means to enforce. Its up to the individual teacher to declare.

I heard of a top secondary school teacher who transferred to a top-JC two to three years ago because she would have more time.

Pay more for good result. I think this is fair.

Sign a contract with the tutor, to achieve at least grade A.
What do you think the tutor reply?

Every time my son come back from tuition class, he will tell me lesson is \"ok\". But the outcome is always disappointing in every test.

After 2 years, I gave up to send him to tuition class. I teach him Chinese myself base on school text books and apps which I download from Appstore. (search \"teach Chinese, learn Chinese, etc... )

                    Finally, he passed.

Check out this site for good app references.

This rate is meant for top grads ie first class honours from the likes of UCL,Imperial,Kings, LSE etc tutoring jc students. For 0-levels/yr4 students and below no need to use such high calibre tutors.
