u mean if the child take HCL then he/she wl b in the top 4 cls? i didn’t know tt, my dd told me if taking HCL then each wk wl have 1 period lesser of eng, maths and science, do u know has this been practised in phpps all the while? TIA
Thanks
For me, I find that the P5 HCL is a big jump from P4. My ds1 struggled at times. I am leaving my ds2 to choose himself whether he wants to take or not next year in P5…that will be at the expense of going to the top 4 classes.
Original Title: Perceptum - P4 Math
Hi
Does anyone has any feedback on the P4 teachers at Perceptum. I know their star tutors only teach the P5 & P6 class, so not sure if their P4 teacher is just as good.
I am looking for a good Maths tuition centre for dd for next yr.

I think PSLE should be ok. Very pressurised last year. This year more relaxed, less homework compared to last year. So unlike other schools which has supplementary lessons daily, PHPPS only twice a week.ChiefKiasu:
Elder boy is in P6 (CH), the younger one in P2(HU).
P6? How's the PSLE preparations going? It's coming soon :scared: I can imagine how stressed we can get during this period! Do you think PHPS has effectively prepared your boy for this upcoming milestone?
#1 has been quite consistent in his performance since P1, so not very worried till I came to this forum and learnt of other avenues like the maths olympiad training classes. Though PHPPS has engaged a 3rd party (Hot House) to conduct Maths Olympiad Course, I think it is insufficient. If only I knew DSA favours Platinium/Gold holders, I would hv spent the money to get more training for the boy. But no point crying over spill milk now.
Hi Jennifer
Can I ask you, did your elder boy had any supplementary class in Jun hols when he was in P6, I am thinking of signing up some camps for my DS but I am thinking they should have supplementary class in Jun. Do you remember which week or days did your DS have his supplementary class.
TIA for your feedback

RE: PSLE Intensive Preparation Programmes
Fat Mama:
Hi 'Fat Mama'Hi Pixiedust,
My DS attended 3 sessions of his day camps in 2009. 2009 PSLE maths was v tough but he still managed to score A*. All along DS maths is quite good and prior to the 3 lessons DS had never had any tuition for maths
His lessons benefited DS and he enjoyed the maths tricks that Ernest Wong taught. The lessons are from 9 - 5 pm with lunch provided. The lessons can be quite boring becos of the long hrs.
The kids must be willing to learn if not then might not be beneficial bcos each class has abt 20 students.
No harm trying.
Can I ask which 3 camps did you DS attend. My DS is quite weak in math (60plus) and I am thinking for sending him for 1 or 2 of the camps, but there are so many different camps to choose from.
Does the maths trick your DS learnt helped him in his sch work?
TIA for your feedback.

PSLE results date & sec sch posting date
Hi
Does anyone know the estimated dates of PSLE results & also sec sch posting results for this year. I am planning for a trip for yr end and since this year’s PSLE is earlier, nt sure if the results & sec sch posting dates will be brought forward as well.
