DD is in CO, playing pipa. A lot of her seniors are taking exams, was wondering if I should get her to take as well, don't know if will be too stressful? After all I just want her to enjoy herself in the cca...

      Hi!
As a matter of fact, taking exams could actually enrich her CCA experience and allow her to enjoy it even more! By taking lessons, your daughter will be able to refine her technical abilities and get a competitive edge over her peers in the orchestra! Taking exams will allow her to have a system that she can follow and have something to work towards! All in all, she will definitely feel more accomplished and confident of her skills.

Hi, may I know if your teachers are local or from china? Currently looking for an erhu teacher who can speak english because my kid's chinese is not too good and cannot understand most of what the teacher is saying!
KIV

My kid’s handwriting is still extremely terrible, and he’s already in secondary school. But I highly suspect that he just doesn’t want to put in the effort, I’ve seen how neatly he can actually write.

I am curious if anyone here is using this or equivalent. Is it useful or effective? Or just a gimmick?

I've always been intrigued by this thing. But my own experience with handheld rechargeable vacuum cleaners have been less than disappointing. If they are effective in actually vacuuming, they last at most 15mins. Otherwise, it's like mowing the lawn => shave off the top of the head of the dust particles and leave everything behind. And if you overcharge the batteries, they die quickly giving you less than a minute of vacuum time.

Given that the iRobot and derivatives are battery operated, I'm not sure if they are up to the task even if they function perfectly as robots 😐

From what I know only those dyson ones are trustworthy and actually work, anything else especially those that you see being sold in those pop up stores in malls are just scams.

Usually taobao and easybuy for steals, zalora for fashion, although zalora material can be not too good

yeas, can second this. Tried zalora, material can be quite itchy.
