    • RE: Healthy food diet for toddler?

      lavlow:
Can anyone share with me what kind of food do you feed your kids throughout the day except lunch and dinner?

My girl is 3yo and day in day out eat about the same stuff and i'm cracking my heads what other healthy choices i can offer her, noting that she's resistance to new food / taste 😞
      Hi,

3 yr old should the time that they explore and always ah ah ah for new food. Try to give all kinds of food in small quantity. Dont give the same thing everyday like a routine. Do mean snacking? Try give cereal with tiny fruits, cheese, milk, all dairy stuff but in small quantity. Alternatively you can try giving sandwich cut in tiny triangles, shapes.

Dont forget water. make it interesting and cute. You can find finger food for toddles from the website.

Steamed baby carrots and let her try with different type of sauce, tomato, mayonise etc. The taste should be lighter not to sour or too salty.

You can bake your own tiny cup cakes with designs on top or sprinkles.

      Good luck and have fun.

Easy food will be the best.

      Hi,

Mamil Gold is good I think. I gave my son Nan 1 followed by Nan2. After which, I gave Mamil Gold all the way.

    • RE: Missing stationeries

      HI,

As for me, I will write his name on the colour pencils, pencils and with initials at the back of the pencil (flat part)

Ruler also name written on it. Story books, in fact all books, I will hold the book pages tightly then write it on the side of the book. No matter how they want to tear the first page off, still the name is there.

Oh, kids are no longer the same like us. They dont treasure their things and belongings as much as we do. All their things are so expensive, I bought colleen colour pencils faber castell and gonis, he dont seems to love them. Brand new, he will be very excited and love it. Very happy and thanked me for all these, time passed, he will put and mix inside a big box. Oh, when I saw it, oh… all mixed up and became a box full of colour pencils. We appreciate all our things cost we dont buythem so often when we were young. Now maybe we relly pampered them.

Now he is better, he will keep only a few to bring to school and lesson, the rest he will leave it at home.

I bought him a big piece of eraser, he will picked on it and throw it at his friends and when he is in deep thoughts, his fingers will subconcious picked at the eraser. Kids are kids.

Share with you something, when we were dating, I once told him, \"if after married I want stay home then I stay home if not I want to work you cant stop me\" He agreed so I married him. Hahaha....

😉 different for us...i told my husband during dating that if after married if i want to stay at home then i stay at home, he cannot insist/expect that i go to work and handle the household at the same time (ie going to work is a luxury for me and not a necessity :D). 😉

You all can cope housework and cook for the family. I cant dish proper chinese home cooked meal.

Its better I work and leave the chores.

Salute to all moms at home doing chores and tending to kids. My friend is the only mom.......... She is a home maker, with 2 sons, hubby working. Never mop or clean the house, hardly wash always on the internet watching tv and seldom bring kids out cos kids playing pc games. She dont monitor their studies. She will always want to go out and shop and shop. Nice person but not a nice mother and wife

      Buds,

My hub has no issue to stay or leave. He prefers me to stay in Singapore if I want to work then find a new job, if not stay home is good.

I dont like to stay in the house. Share with you something, when we were dating, I once told him, \"if after married I want stay home then I stay home if not I want to work you cant stop me\" He agreed so I married him. Hahaha.... This thing still applies even when I am pregnant. Now still same.

More or less decided to stay here but how to end? Run N hide away? Not easy to leave the company. No bonds no nothing, I am freedom but too stress at times.

Dont worry abt me , soon this thing will be over and done with it. Either by the nicest way or the ugliest way.

      Thank you :celebrate:

not to sure about the specifics but think there are lots of tacit knowledge for your job. Can try to talk to you boss about your intention to leave/lessen work load in X amount of time e.g. 3- 6 months? and talk to him about succession planning. e.g. identify a collegue who can be train to take over or help fill in your role.

Try to document down the issues to look out for and train your successor...I think if you give your boss enough time to find a replacement and train someone to take over yourself that should be very good to your boss and company liao.
      Thank you Mincy,

I had found and trained someone for him and cost much lesser than me. Now all I want is my son and less money no problem. How to tell him? As I said, he is like a very good friend to me and very hard to tell him. He knows the weakness in me is too soft hearted. I had already told once. He will tell me, you can fly back home and do from home. Said is easier than done. How about the factory side? Oh my god, I really want my way out without hurting anyone.

There is no free lance or part time for my position. Once taken up, have to run everything.

You mean run everything alone? The person running the show does not need any backup support stuff?
Sometimes, we have to 'downgrade' to fit into the part time/free lance position.

Most of the thing I will have to run it and handle myself. I will have to tell them what to do and what not to do. The worst scenario was, client havnt T/T money, all the shipment sent!!! If customer default payment, company will suffer, so communication is very important. I will have to let them know when to sent first and when will be the later shipment. There are much more things that happening. Oh I really cant take it.

You are right, but first, how to open my mouth to leave? Very hard you know. Boss is like my friend and buddy. How? Job is not too much of a problem, I can always find a less demanding one with lesses pay package and more time in Singapore or even station here also good. I dont mind to be a telephone operator that dont need to be so stress, little money no need to kill my brain cells. Right?

      Hi,

Anyone remember \"Paperdolls\" with changable clothings? Last time there were no Popular bookshop, only traditional bookshop just below the flats or in the estate town central. All these paperdolls can only be found there. Changed them with different clothes that sold together.

      Fun hor?

Shhhh... I used to like playing with those dolls myself  I just love the modular concept of being able to add accessories to something. It's not very different from changing iPhone covers or buying mobile accessories these days.

So fun hor? Now cant find all these things anymore. I always go china, all the toys are also the modern ones. Traditional toys from wood carving also gone. Those were the days we really enjoy playing.

Remember the \"Ting Ting Candy\"? An old man holding a round big aluminium tray with wooden stands? Candy coated with flour to prevent stinking together. 10cent will be few pieces on a paper. 30cents will be put in a small plastic bag. What I love most is the malt candy with 2sticks. We have to pull and mix and roll it till it turned whitish then yummy.

    • RE: To vacinate or not for Chicken Pox?

      mum2one:
      Thanks ks2me and Jesschan.

Indeed I know it's no joke to catch it even for adults. I guess I'm most likely sending him for it, now the question is if I should also vacinate since the chance of getting it from him as a caregiver is very much minimised?
Does that mean that as long as other members in the family have not had Chicken pox before, high chance they will also catch it if one family member has it?
      Dear Mum2one,

This is a airborne and contagious. My doc told me it is good for the kid to inject. If the immune system is strong, the kid will never get infected even mixing with a infected kid. If the immune system is weaker, the kid will have mild outbreak. Some after the injection, will automatically have some outbreak. I was so surprised when my doc told me.

You can always call up your GP or KK hospital to ask for details about this jab.
