Are we able to buy ibooks from Amazon directly even in Singapore? Previously I heard about restrictions…

Sian, everytime change model have to buy new set of accessories. Saw an iPod casing which I really liked but its 3rd gen version. 4th gen's accessory not out yet...


Prob by the time I get used to 4th gen, 5th gen or iPad 2nd Gen out liao...then gotta buy new Apple.

Yes...by connecting to a wifi network (at your home/office or wireless@SG). Since iPod Touch is not iPhone, you can't insert a SIM card and surf with the 3G network. Wifi is the only way to do it.

Not so sure about reading books on a 3\" screen...you might want to use an iPad to do that.

I was afraid if I buy iPhone n let the kids use the Apps, they may mishandle the phone and spoil the phone functions. So I Really can consider the iPod Touch, except of cos abit small screen la..Cool! cos I had the impression tt iPod Touch is just a music player with touch screen option...May be if price is ok, can even buy 2! 1 for each kid, no need to fight...

The iPod Touch is an iPhone without the capability to make calls (and the iPad is an oversized iPod Touch), so it is fully capable of downloading apps (albeit via wifi and not 3G) and running them.[/quote]

You can try google Buddhist Fellowship. My kids have been attending Sunday classes since Jan. I can see improvement in their viewpoint. It’s every Sunday (11am to 12.30pm). Meanwhile, the adults can go for Sunday Dharma talks. All conducted in English.

In my opinion, everyone (young & old) is suitable to learn the Dharma so I’m puzzled why is an interview necessary. It is important that parents themselves have faith and right knowledge of the Dharma, so that our kids can cultivate the interest and trust in their parents.

Thanks for sharing! I was amazed how my sis in law’s iPhone app cld sing children’s song and chinese poems which my hubby and I was trying so hard to introduce to my son. With the iPhone, my son was automatically glued to it. It certainly was more attractive than the flash cards we tried. My did we buy all the good reading resources for the kids but the books did not seem as interesting as the iPhone my sis in law had…


That’s why even though I’m not an Apple fan, I’m quite tempted to buy an iPad. Don’t wana spoil the phone functions if my son were to mishandle an iPhone…

But still considering and weighing our options now cos we’re afraid the iPad would be too addiction.

Ask u arr…if buy iPad mainly for children’s app, will I need more than 16Gb? Thanks for any opinions.
