      Yes we need to let them learn to be responsible at an early age. Nowadays, it is a challenge for us parents since we live in an era where comfort is everywhere due to technology. A total shift of yesterday's era.

      As for me, I let my kid do some housechores and we have a daily home arrangement. He washes the dishes at night, he folds our clothes after it is dried from laundry, I let him help me do the grocery list, I let him do a few basic cooking. And chores will add up as he grows.

      In this way he will know the importance of being part of a family and will nurture him to be a good man of house in the future.
      Well said. Independence is something they have to learn while they are young..
