The timetable was given to my gal last Fri. But I felt abit lost as I do not know which textbook is for which subject.

Typically, the teachers will keep the Chinese & Maths testbooks... so just bring those for Moral & Social Studies according to the timetable etc.

    • RE: Mom call police and MOE : Teacher force son for a haircut

I read with amazement of the same topic but almost totally different view from different forum sites...

Over here most are of the view that the teacher in question is wrong & more respect should be given to the 'disobeying' boy.
Over at another forum, the boy is slammed upside down with remarks that I believe most parents will find too hard to swallow.

Without knowing the true details, I would not want to side which party is right or wrong...

Personally, I would still like to see discipline being instill in school & respect by the students on the rules... I don't agreed parents to be over protective; esp the boys... I can't imagine how these over-protected boys will grow up & in time of needs, can they be relied on to carry arms & protect our nation??? :xedfingers:

Saw the Philips Airfryer selling @ S$299 over at Fairprice xtra over @ Nex…

Was rather tempted… will checkout on the usefulness fr SIL as she brought one recently… don’t want to buy & become white elephant collecting dust as we cook just 2-3 times a week.

    • RE: New Seat Belt Rules : Height Not Age

I’ve to agreed that is the height that matters & not age. If our child is not up to the right height; using normal seat belt without the booster seat will be uncomfortable for them such as the belt will cut across their neck rather than across the shoulder etc… in event of accident, is not safe if the child is not properly strapped up.

The belt adjuster are only for front seats right? I don’t think rear seats have this features… unless premium cars?

So, don’t saved on $, life is more impt…

Thanks for your reply Mrs Seah.

Yes, there’s 1 meet up last yr. I thought it would be more logical to have a session after term 4 to feedback how the child is doing for the whole yr…

    • RE: Holy Innocents' Primary

My boy will be in P2 this yr… there’s no meet-the-teachers when the school term ended after his P1. So beside the feedback from his report card, there’s no face-to-face feedback.

Is this the norm for HIPS? Thanks.

    • RE: Travel: Malaysia - Genting

      concern_mum:
hi, i am going Genting this Wednesday and intend to take the cable car to Gohtong Jaya Town from Genting, is there anything interesting there on top of the strawberry farm and also can i walk to the town from the cable car station?

I don't think is near to walk fr the cable car station to Gohtong Jaya town... probably more accessible by those who drive.

For those interested, i've just went there early Dec on my way down fr Genting. Stopped first at the Strawberry farm... u can let your kids try out to pluck the strawberries... & they'll charged by weight on the amt you plucked... slightly more ex than u would've brought fr the supermarkets here in s'pore.. but then u need to pay for the experience 😂
can easily spend 45mins to an hr there... there's some flowers & mushroom to see on your way out of the farm.

Thereafter you can go for meal at Gohtong Jaya town... quite a lot of eating places... many tze chars types... hor fun, steam fish... the prawn soup with vermicelli is a recommended one... I one I went is called Restoren Tak Kee.

I'm using the Mavello Alkerline water system. Beside filtering the tap water, it also ionised & split the water into alkerline & acidic water. Alkerline water is for drinking whereas acidic water for washing purpose.

I'm currently using Hyflux eLife Energy Water Filter. So far so good.
Plan to purchase an Alkerline water system from Hexagon (Cosway). Thks spanly, now I hv another option. 😉 Do u remember how much u bought?

      TIA.

If i remember correctly, is $1688. Sold by kemp trading, their office at International Building.. can go take a look before deciding.

I remember there’s a recent newspaper article on regards to alkerline water & there’s the belivere & doubters on its benefits… For me, I can’t said it improves my health tremenously but it does help in my gout.
