🤷 I think more GEPpers should receive COs.

It is difficult time for the rest or rejected GEPpers to compete with so many excellent MSers in the Psle.
MOE should ensure each GEPper receive a CO at least.
Why MOE should? why should a GEPper who didn't do well for p5-p6 deserve a CO? when there are many more MSers who are better.

:goodpost: Puzz...zzle! If that DSA is only meant for GEP students, isn't this going to be a case of \"closed circles\" for only a selected crowd? Then you will see many parents rushing to put their kids into GEP preparation class starting perhaps at P1? :slapshead: :slapshead:

Didn't it was said last year,\" To foster greater student diversity, top secondary schools will take in more students from different backgrounds through the Direct School Admissions scheme. The programme. which lets pupil secures seondary school places early based on talents such as sporting or artistic skills, will be broadened to admit \"very good students with other special qualities\".

it not only help physically but mentally
also help to protect oneself of any attack. once a bigger sized bully tried attack my child using badminton racker. my child was able to block the attack, make the bigger sized bully down on the ground, sit on the big bully, hold the arms and shouted for help. w/o knowing all these steps, my child might be badly beaten up

• RE: Q&A - P5 Math

There were twice as many red marbles as yellow marbles in a box.

When 2 red marbles were put into the box and 6 yellow marble were taken out, there was 3 times as many red marbles than yellow marble in the box.
What was the total number of marbles at 1st?

An equal number of male & female runners participated in a marathon race.
After 980 female runners and 350 male runners dropped out of the race, the number of female runners left was 1/6 the number of male runners.
What was the total number of runners at the start of the race?
(Can help by showing the model-drawing?)

Hope this comes out ok... sketch on mobile...

This is another Question taken from RGS, P4 SA2, 2011.

Can someone advise me - this question about tap root system and fibrous root system - which theme in those Science book is relevant for reading and finding the answers? My child said he never study before.

:thankyou:

hi tayobus,

not too sure if any teacher would teach this but i'm quite sure it does not belong to any topics learnt..

heard from my dd sci teacher, ad-hoc questions that may not have been learnt at all can be tested randomly... most impt is the students' inference skills, able to infer what they have learnt and to apply on these \"new\" questions. this is one of those..

Hi
Sometimes like this question ,you may think that it is not tested. But,when you read the question, you must relate to the topic so that you can find the answer. This is grouped under application questions.
Cheers
:thankyou:
