So, parents - my stand is they are not 'security threat' per se.
Then, the school's security guard must identify parents from non-parents.
This is the discussion I am focusing on now. [/quote]Parents also human. How do you know is not a threat to other children who is not theirs? There are many criminal who themselves are parents too. So many news of father molesting their daughter how we ensure these parents do not do the same to his child friends?

Dont take it so hard. No one is prefect including us parent. As long you do your best in guiding him, whatever the outcome is it, is it. This is my advise to my ds too. As long he tried his best, whatever his result I will be proud of him.

Mind if I ask what is the triggering factor to get a counsellor?

my ds is performing well in class lesson but not in exam since he is in Pri 4. Never thought of going for conselling till he is in sec 2. thought he is a late boomer since he is a year end baby. After conselling (about 6 months) then reliase he is not exam smart. after conselling things take a turning point and he become top few in class. Btw he is in neighbourhood school.

your son in SJI right? Heard they have very good consellor. 😄

No they dont write in report book. Just a record that the child went for school counselling. I sent my DS for counsel too but i get his approval first before i approach the school counsellor. now he is happy in school and scoring As.

Some student carry till drop. Maybe they are from the top 2 class. My DS got 1 big yellow ring for math, Orange for Chem, 1 more yellow for Geo, 1 for core skill and 1 for Lit. On top of that still got some school printed assesment book. all the file got the school logo printed in front of them. You may want to check with your DS.

My DS in sec 1 this year. Bring back a lot of files with assesment set by the school. I especially like the core skill program. I am not sure if the teacher will go thru all the assesment. If yes it really worth paying for the school fees.
