Can understand how you feel 😄 The greatest satisfaction of a mother is to see her child grow and taste the fruits of her own labour. Is she working very hard for the coming exam and is she very stressful now? How do you avoid adding to her stress?

    • RE: When does a PSLE student start to choose secondary school?

Hi, if you have missed the open house in May/Jun, when will you all bring your kids to see the environments of their dream schools? Should we bring them to view the a few schools after they hv taken the exam cos it may be too tight after the release of their results.

    • RE: Use of correction-tape allowed in PSLE?

Yes, his CL2 e-dictionary has been endorsed. I was told by ds’s form teacher that his calculators need not be endorsed. From what I understand, it’s not compulsory to endorse the calculators. For schools which do not do so, the teachers will go round to check that their calculators are approved by moe. By the way, do not use alkaline batteries for calculators & e-dictionaries. Use those normal heavy duty ones.

I see… So nice of her HCL tr. I always tell my ds it is very important to have good teachers. His class is very unlucky as they are under the same irresponsible (comments fr all parents I’ve spoken to) form teacher fr P4~P6. Mine usually has 1.5hrs of afternoon nap so he goes to bed ard 10.30~11pm and wakes up at 6am. Guess it shld be sufficient so long as they hv at least 8hrs of sleep per day.

That’s good planning. To be frank, I’m feeling very stressed as psle draws closer but I’m telling myself that I’ll have to control my emotion and change my mindset so as not to stress my ds further…

Really pity these kids… Do you all think it really helps by rushing thru these exam papers? I do agree that they need practices but the teachers shld take the time to go thru and explain their mistakes so that they’ll get to learn from their mistakes right?

Yes, there are still ongoing supp classes for 3 times a week. The teacher was very relaxed throughout the year. She’s either on mc every now and then or she can take 2 months to mark a compo… :x When I asked my ds what do they do during supp class he says as usual exam papers. I was thinking what’s the point to rush thru so many exam papers if she did not put in effort during normal lessons.

My ds's school has been assigning at least 3 exam papers each day as homework since last week. Imagine he reaches home ard 4pm after supplementary class and after his afternoon nap + dinner, he can only start doing his h/w from 6pm. 1 exam paper takes 1hr 40mins so it will be almost mid-night by the time he completes all h/w.... 😢

    • RE: Band 1 School 2010

Thanks for ur feedback, tansm2010. May I know if they have changed their principal? My nephew went in during the first few years when it first started in Sengkang and his feedback was poor discipline & teachers had no enthusiam to teach…
