LKY may have made some bad decisions along the way... but we can't deny we're where we are because of him. The grass always seems greener on the other side.(The detractors) Our country ,like any other country, needs some fine tuning in some policies but we're still grateful to be in a country where stability racial harmony and low crime rate should not be taken for granted.

As a parent, I sure have made some mistakes here and there in my parenting. But at the end of the day, I hope my child will see the positive things I have done and still appreciate me.

I fully agree...IMHO, singaporeans should count their blessings....we should be glad that our fellow country men/women do not need to be exported to other countries to become construction workers/domestic helpers.

Any way to appeal after ballot 2C, if we are staying within 1 km? Has anyone here tried b4 and what's the success rate?

Ds in p2 now, 2 yrs ago, I failed @ p2c, we kept him on wait list, then in mid dec b4 p1 started, we rcd a call for Sch to inform us that we got in. Success rate for those on waitlist? I dunno, I can't even tell why we were selected as we hv neither special connectn nor did ds possess any special talent, only thing is that we stayed within 1 km. hope this helps.

So when you received the call from the GO on that wet, cold Dec day 2 yrs ago ... it was really double happiness 😆

[/quote]EXXACTLY...can't stop myself from grinning ear to ear since last nite.
This year is a total diff experience for me as compared to 2 yrs back...

I checked the MOE website on phase1 results....i think PH probably won't hv too many seats left after phase 2....(assuming phase 2 attracts another 60-80 applicants.)

IJJ -> thanx for well wishes!

Btw, has any P2 parent voted in the survey? Seems like overwhelming majority is supportive of the sch's original T2 implementation schedule, based on the results displayed after I voted.
but only 54 out of 351 parents voted (as of now) and out of the 54, 77% for option1....
but we still need to see the other 297 parents leh...they hv the ability to swing the results to optn 2....so still must see.

I was sitting rite next to JRLam and we busied ourselves watching a tennis match between the sch mgt and some of PH parents during some parts in the Q&A.

I cannot help but feel sorry for P...seems like parents no longer hold T or P in high respect nowadays....like my parents' time.

I feel P was like a cust svc officer trying to appease some :siam: angry customers.

Seriously, 30% of T2/3/4 or 30% of T3/4...i don't really care....as long as my son is happy to go to school every day and loves learning, that's my greatest comfort. I agree that the school needs to improve on its communication with parents, but i disagree with some of the \"tone\" and \"attitude\" as displayed by some parents that i see on sat morning's meeting.

For parents who don't agree, don't flame me, just my personal opinion only. :siam:

Got the form for P1 registration form from DS...my DD is going to register under Phase 1......wat a breeze this year!....no more emotional rollercoaster or heart-attacks, no more moving house, no more sleepless nites... :imcool: By the way...DD also qualify for Phase 2A for St Nicks...but DD wants to be in same sch with kor kor...and my whole family wants both of them in the same sch..so i lose my vote.

The prob is that ds wishes to stick to Berries as he has made many friends and likes his T who is very friendly. Hence the dilemma.

Actually you are the 4th PH parent to tell me to switch (would you believe it?) Maybe I should ask for ds opinion again later.
      Mark

my ds is enjoying berries very much and other than his handwriting, I think he's progressing just fine...once i went earlier to fetch him and peeped into the class and saw the teacher playing Ren4 Zi4 game with the class and everyone was enjoying themselves tremendously and the energy was just fantastic...never saw my ds so enthusiastic in CL before... Seems like your ds is enjoying himself in Berries...so maybe BB can wait? I hear that Berries is good for up to P3 level....
      Just my humble opinion la...
