Hi, I suspect this question has been asked many times before but i couldn’t find it under search… My DD is trying for SCGS DSA via choir and needs to go for GAT in June… I know no preparation is required for the general GAT test, but to ease our nerves, I would like to know if anyone knows of any samples questions so i can show DD what to expect? a glimpse of how the questions look like, more to prepare her mentally so that she won’t be sitting for a test cluelessly… all i know now is from the GAT website and it doesn’t have a single question as an example…

      thank you for any feedback!

I presume should be overall gwah. If specific subject, I presume should be >90%

Yes overall average. Applied under academic. P4, P5 and P6 mid year result.

          Thanks both fr the info..

              Hi,

For DSA, when kids are asked how they can contribute to the school if they were selected, what is the best approach to that?

I intend to get dd to think about those questions and ask herself if she has the answers??? Experienced parents, can such answers be very simple? As in winning of more awards or???? :?

Some school papers are tougher than others. There is thus no basis to compare dsa candidates by school results. Would it be right to assume that for DSA (acad), more emphasis will be on selection test and camp/interview? School results just for reference?

Yes, that's correct. Also results of national competitions such as Math Olympiads etc, if any and if relevant.

                        A)

Students with "o" level cert study 3 years in a polytechnic, to obtain a diploma.

If a student uses his / her "a" level certificate (not "o" level cert), how long does it take to obtain the same diploma in a poly ? Is it one year or two years ?

                        B)
If a chij st nicholas secondary student -
after trying out the "ip" track realize that "ip" is not suitable for her after all - can she seek transfer to go back to the "o" level track, or repeat "ip" for that year ?
