According to my DS, last Friday English teacher gathered two classes (T2&T3) and announced the score in class one by one, according to my DS, 33/40 (or maybe 33.5/40) is the highest, 12 kids above 28 (2 classes) and teacher seems happy about it, as the result is slightly better than the mock paper.

No news about the HCL and science yet, but maybe tonight will get to know. Same as Dagong, my DS asked me not ask him about HCL as he feels \"sucks\"

You make me feel so much better, I tot my DS2 is the only one, but on the serious side, with that kind of score, how to DSA ? 🤷

your DS1 is also GEPper?
According to what u know, is Eng result unpresentable all the yrs for most students?
My DS's class highest Eng result is below 80%.....
Science and Math got kids score full marks
Some students score HCL very high one....
Nope, DS1 not GEP but top in his school with consistent performance throughout ...

DS2 class also same as your DS, mostly very good in Science & Math, though there are also quite a number of all rounders ....

Hi all,

So shd I post or share P6 related stuff here or is there a new thread for P6 geppers. Thanks 🙂

Yes. A lot of them score below the passing mark of 28.
So does it means these GEPers can't go for DSA anymore?
Since they need to score average of 80 for the core subjects...?

Hi blessmum4, the 28 passing mark u r referring to is only P5 SA1 paper 2 right? There r others like Paper 1, Oral, daily assessment etc to be included. So don't worry too much just yet, different school different criteria. Some need P4 to P6 results; some need only P5 & P6. The 80% requirement refers to overall average of 4 subjects, namely Math, Science, English & CL (not HCL). Moreover, if u meet the 80%, it just meant that the school u DSA for may exempt u from taking GAT. For those who score less than 80% could still DSA but just need to take GAT. 🙂
