According to the above article, his internship at the company was only for 6 months. $500 per month for internship is normal. But what I don't understand is why he chose to continue working at the company, drawing this ridiculously miserable $500 for subsequent 2.5 years! There is no employment contract drawn out, he has no bonus and NO annual leave.
It's really a BIG question mark here...WHY did this intern work for this pathetic amount for so long? This kind of daily stress for $500? Didn't his parents know what he had been going through? They kept quiet and let their son endure this? He can't be staying on for the money right? Now after this incident, they asked for $100K. After 6 months, he definitely could leave...no other company to work in? Sitting down and being abused verbally and physically? :? :? -

Didn’t any of his parents ask him to leave? Did they care for him? Such long hours for peanuts!!!
