          Buds,

Sorry things are not improving. I do not know how to comfort you but rest assured you can vent as much frustration as you need here. You will not be judged. :hugs: Sometimes hurtful words hurt so much you start to second guess if your very first best intention for the family is worthwhile. The fact that your little girl is so understanding, you have already gotten your answer. Take comfort in that 💋
Do not feel alone, many of us have our high and low too. Perhaps this period is just too challenging for everyone at home, at school and at work. Calm yourself down and trust that what you are doing is for the best. Give time. Believe in yourself and Have faith.

It’s tough to be sick with 2 very young kids. Drop everything, tell your older dds to order food in or buy back for the rest of you. Or just eat instant noodles/sandwiches! Put on a funny video and just chill. Take the two small ones to bed with you.

What are your reasons for wanting to be a SAHM? Many women are thinking of returning to the workforce when kids are around that age.

I was a FTWM and chose to become SAHM when the boys were older, P4 and P6. I wanted to spend more time with them during the more critical pre-teen and teenage years. The reason we do it the 'reverse way' from some other parents: when the kids were very young, it is easier to get child care help like nanny, maid, childcare centers. Of course we still tried our best to spend time with them in the evenings and over weekends. As they grow older, we want to be the one to shape their thinking, mold their characters, coach them like a mentor in studies and social life. So far, this approach worked well for the boys and for me. The boys are 15 and 17 now, they are happy to have me around and my support to them has contributed to their overall well being. I am also enjoying myself, not missing my corporate life since I had my time and fulfillment as a career woman.

Hope my sharing is useful to you. All the best whichever path you decide to take!
