      Hi,

      For the following synthesis:

Mother brought me to the dentist. I had a bad toothache.

Ans: I had a bad toothache so Mother brought me to the dentist.

If my ds put \"mother\" instead of \"Mother\", is it still correct?

I think it would have to be \"my mother\" rather than just Mother.

'Mother' with a capital 'M' is like a proper noun; if 'mother' is used, it is a common noun so there needs to be a 'my'.

Hi, pls advise which is correct:

A lion is taking at a ‘flock’ or ‘herd’ of sheep.

I would think both answers acceptable:(

Flock can be used for both birds and hoved animals which move in groups. So it can be used for sheep

But herd is only used for group of animals…and humans…
So I feel herd of sheep is more apt.

As such both can be used, not sure which one the teacher approves of as correct answer.

Did your child check with teacher?

The correct answer from the sch is flock! My DS answered herd:(
              I would agrees both acceptable.

Both should be accceptable, thought 'flock' is probably more common for sheep. I dislike having to 2nd-guess the teacher - this is just a bad question.

Handling difficult question is already a problem, still got to handle bad question :?

Yes, that's right. There were no picture. They were asked to write an article.
