Another reason is that they like to attract young people, youths and teenagers and attract them with things like pop music etc. It is much easier to brainwash young people and once these young people are brainwashed, they will support these \"gods\" wholeheartedly even when they become adults. Have you seen the number of adults queueing up at 11pm THE PREVIOUS NIGHT to enter Subordinate Courts at 9am the following morning to see their \"gods\"?

But their dressing not very decent…

That’s why they are not following the Bible. They are dressing to attract young people. If you see the people from CHC, they are like attending a wild party.

But don't forget the Lord works in mysterious ways har. Who knows? Sometimes can be through the instrument of a deputy public prosecutor or six. This one is a big gun from Oxford.

They are abusing the concept of tithing in the Bible to profit themselves. Just think - can you stay in a Sentosa Cove bungalow and drive a big car with bodyguards?

              Loss of moral compass

              That's how i feel.....that's why i raised that question....

                mummy of three:
Tithing is not compulsory, it was in the old testament.

The way they do it is like putting pressure on donors.
I'm not well versed in this so not going there. point is, offering bags are passed out during service - my limited understanding is that not happy can don't give; happy can give. those who need some direction just take whereever they find (ie old testament).

The way I heard this church does is scary, eg can use credit card, give until bleed. Dunno if it's true but I'm taking it as is.

Oxford vs SCs and MP? Hard to say who wins. :scratchhead:

It is a fact that even biblical leaders cannot escape the pitfalls of succumbing to the subtle seduction of the devil. From spiritual success to moral decay and subsequently ministry failure. We have seen them all. How we run our race is how well we will finish when we stand before the Judge in the end.

When people twist biblical truths to fit their own pursuits and agenda, they are playing to be God themselves. God is no longer in the picture. It is these very people, even biblical leaders we revere, who will have problems with finishing well. God will be their final judge.

Mahatma Gandhi had this to say…‘I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.’

That’s something for all Christians to chew on.
