If we r not in Singapore on announcement date, how? If we manage to ballot in, but not there to fill up the form, will our place be forfeited
When you register with a school, you fill in a registration form that has carbon copies. In the event that your child is successful during balloting, one of the carbon copies will be sent to you via mail. There is no other form to fill up immediately after balloting. It doesn't matter whether you are present for the balloting or not. -

Hi,
My girl is also registering for P1 this year and I would like to find out the following which I notice less talk about...
What happen if in the event the child do not get a place in 2C?
It is correct to say some school will have 2cs and not all?
If failed to get in under 2c, possible to apply again under 2cs?
If a child doesn't get a place in a school be it under 2c or 2cs, what will happen at 3?
TIA -

TIA[/quote]You are correct, not all schools will have P2Cs.
If you are not successful in P2C, you can register at a school with vacancies in P2Cs. At the end of each phase, MOE will update the available vacancies for each school.
If still unsuccessful at P2Cs, the procedure will repeat for Phase 3. The difference is that if still unsuccessful at Phases 3, you will have to register at whatever schools that have vacancies after Phase 3 and it will be first-come-first serve basis.
Here's the link to the various phases of P1 registration
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases/ -
But am I correct to say that for schools that need to ballot at phase 2c, there won’t be phase 2cs, as P2cs are leftover place from p2c.

You are correct -
normally for popular neighborhood schools or the 9 GEP schools : -
all seats will all be snapped up, by end of phase 2C.
will be 100% occupancy.
no need to enter next phase, 2C Supp anymore.
So if both schools (first choice school plus backup school) are popular, on the last day of phase 2c around 4 pm - choose the one that offer you the highest chance of entry. Station your spouse and yourself, each at a school. One of you be at first choice school, the other stationed at backup school
From 3.30 pm onwards - Crowd around the p1 registration officer, for live updates every half hour - on the number of sg kids staying within 1 km, within 2 km.
ask officer - any risk of balloting for sg kids, within which distance range ? Make sure you get all precise details accurate. From there, communicate with your husband / spouse on handphone - which is the best bet, to get in ? Must register your child, before 4.30 pm closing time dateline, on 1 August (last day of phase 2c). After 4.30 pm registration counter close, school not going to entertain anymore requests. -
Thanks all for the information and reply.
Now I am feeling the stress since both school which I am keen are full during the phase 2c registration…
Can anyone here advis ewhat is the PSLe result for Haig Girls? Trying to decide between Hiag Girls and CHIJ Katong… -

important clarificationDear all
Do anyone know when is usually the day of balloting after phase 2c( last day is a thursday)? Is it the next day(fri) or the following Monday b4 phase 2c supp starts? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Time is 5 pm. Just spoke to moe officer.
I asked , \"is it confirmed that balloting for phase 2c occur on 6 August?\"
She replied, as follows:-
\"1 August is the last day for phase 2c registration.
1 August is the last day to register your child only.
But Balloting can occur anytime - after 1 August but before and latest by 6 August.
Schools will notify all eligible parents which day & what time to go down to school, for balloting.
The last day to ballot is 6 August - because it is announcement of results.
But some schools may ballot after 1 August, but before 6 August. \"
Hence, parents who are currently staying overseas but flying back in time to Singapore to register your p1 child under phase 2c -
Pls take note. This is important !
Different schools conduct balloting for phase 2c -
anytime after 1 aug, but before 6 aug.
it depends on individual school - school will notify all eligible parents actual date of balloting. -
