Hi Sharmum

Have you asked her whether she has taken her nap there.? She reached home so late @7.30pm? My girl usually sleep for an hour after showertime (informed teachers there my girl needs to nap), for those not sleeping, they will do sch work then teabreak and 5-5.15pm playtime/games at the netball court. YMCA sch bus comes at 6pm .
I have withdrawn my girl from YMCA this year due to transport problem. RS transport was unable to provide the sch bus during the long Nov-Dec school holiday due to limited nos. Have since put her in another student care near home. Which is quite good as I can bring her home early then the sch bus except no nap for her now.

Ye my girl’s FT emailed us yday about the meeting parents should be 13 Jan, wed in bold. P1 has their own special sport day, is the same for all schools .

ok, will update my calendar to 13th instead for the PTM.

Good to know P1 gals have their own sports day. Guess it is less overwhelming for them. Imagine the little ones having to race against the P6ers. :shock:

btw, is it an inter-class event or will the girls be grouped by houses?

Yes, she did but only 0.5hrs for P2. I am also having problem with the school bus now.....cannot reach them somemore since 4 Jan, lucky i have got all 3 drivers hp no. with me and liasie direct with them.

I also got 2 drivers hp no and even the big boss ,Francis hp no(hopefully still the same). Maggie has asked me to complain to the Sch Admin Manager about the transportation …but c no point since has already taken her out of YMCA.

Heard all P2 have compulsory swimming lesson in the afternoon and also Chinese Speech and Drama.
Sport Day for P1 is grouped according to their houses. Mine is Cooke Hse(blue). How about yours?

The driver say take first then rectify the problem later so ok lah.....just that will have lots of explaining (i spoke to smps Operation Manager and was advised to fax to them for response but still no reply todate yet). :x

My girl is in P5 and I have an elder girl who just completed P6 and is now in SMSS.

Enjoy your years there! And do consider to join the PTA where you will have a chance to interact with the teachers as well as a say in the school activities.

Hehe…I am abit late to write abt my gal 's 1st day of sch in st Margt. she is in 1Grace. So far everything has been fine in sch and she said she enjoys her sch life. Regarding the RS bus services, I thot they are quite bad in services. They didn’t call us to confirm our bus service as they have promised during the orientation in Nov. My son’s sch bus called every Dec to confirm his bus no and driver(he is p4 now). I called on 2 Jan and they gave me the bus no & driver 's hp. Guess wat, they gave me the Morn driver’s hp and my gal is actually taking Single -trip in the aftrn.
On the 1st day, I waited at her student care ctr(which is 5 mins away fr St Margt) I didn’t see her after 20 mins.I called that driver’s hp and he claimed that she is not his list ! I called st Margt and Ms Maggie said no more girl in sch…my heart almost dropped! I wa so angry & told her to ask the bus operation mgr to call me. shortly, Franics called & said she was on the right bus but driver missed her drop-off pt & only can drop her after everyone has alighted.
By the time she arrived, it was 2.35pm! she was left alone with this "new stranger uncle". she cried and abit nervous abt the whole indicent. No appetite to eat dinner & slept at 7.30pm. I amde a complaint in sch next morn and luckily everything turned out smoothly on 2nd day onward.
What a bad experience on 1st day of sch?

Yes, very messy on first day as message was not convey to the driver correctly by the admin person. However, the nice PM driver searched high and low for my dd at smps and called up all the parents on his list(I only got to know half an hour later) to inform to find who's child is missing....my dd went to YMCA and will be taking 6pm bus...

My little princess didn’t know where is her diary(woo…woo only 4th day of sch) as we can’t find it in her bag today. I have not made a copy of it. Hoping someone can tell me what lesson will she has tomorrow.

For CCA for P1, I've called the school earlier on and was informed that for P1, there will be 3 enrichment classes (all need to pay fees as instructors are external) - ballet, tap dance and artistic gym. Ballet will be by Mrs Simon, on either Tue or Thur; tap dance will be by Mrs Teng - she will be distributing the consent form next Tue and her class will be starting Feb on Tues only (2.45pm to 3.30pm @ $90/ term); and artistic gym (cartwheels, tumbling etc) is by Mr Lau on Tues at $50 per month.

Btw, is your daughter in P1 Grace too?? if so, then your dd and mine (Charis Lim) are classmates
