I did received my son's form teacher's mobilephone number in her letter to the class. She stated that its for notification of the student's absence. Any other issue can be through her personal email.

So good. My DD form teacher didn't provide us her mobile phone number.

My DD a bit slow too. But I prefer her to learn to eat in the canteen like other childrens so that she won't feels left out. As during Nursery time, I pack her own foods for 3 years as the school sometimes gave them chocolates cake , pandan cakes where she is allegic to it .

During the 3 years, my DD always came back saying that her friends have this and that. I feel bad but how, she's allegic. ๐Ÿ˜ž
I see. Kids their 'pattern' every now and then. I won't be shocked in few days time when they get to know each other well, they will be buying all sorts of food together

I guess some probably not ready yet 'mentally' as all these need their personal time, or maybe they prefer communication through the handbook or via the school email just to be formal.

I just received an email from the form teacher with photos of the children in class. They were so cute ^v^

Well, I think our kids will be fine. We'll be amazed how fast they can adjust to the environment.

Thought there's a letter with the form teacher's email address? I've written to him a few times, and he's very fast in responding. So I'm fine with this method of communication. In fact, I think the form teacher worked too hard. He replied my emails like around 12mn.

Anyway, I think there are PTMs in Primary schools too. So I guess we will be able to see all our kiddos teachers by then. :celebrate:

My DH gave Dd $2 these 2 days (1st 3 days already pad for). I told Dh to change to $1.50 as i think is already sufficient. Yesterday, my girl told me she had chicken rice and it was not enough for her!!! She was thinking of having a 2nd plate but worried not enough time. OMG, she really can eat. I reminded her that it was snack time, not lunch time. haha.

My DD excitedly went to canteen with her buddy. She queue up buying sushi and happily used up her $1. Her buddy bring her back to her seat (canteen seats labelled with P1A, 1Bโ€ฆ etc) and her buddy wait for her to finished the food. The buddy even teach her how to dispose the sushi plastic container.

My DD asked the buddy to bring her to take a look where is the library, they went, but the library was closed.
Today, i ask my DD to ask her buddy to bring her to the bookstore.
My DD can tell me that after finished her sushi, they have sometime playing hopscotch (did i spell correctly?) with her friends and can tell me one of her classmate claim that she did not have a pen, and went to the โ€˜โ€˜pen shopโ€™โ€™ to buy a $2 pen. My goshโ€ฆ
Its really an exciting day for the kids!!

A little joke from my DD. During their assembly, the teacher annouced that the P1 students will pair up with a buddy from P2 to the canteen. The teacher ''scared'' the P2 students that they have to takecare of their P1 buddy. If the P1 buddy came crying to the teachers that they lost their P2 buddy, the teacher will scold the P2 buddy! And the hall all roar with students laughter.

wow, it is good that she can eat ๐Ÿ™‚ my DS told me that he bought fishcake porridge and was already very full. And when we asked him why did not drink water or the packet of milk that he brought to school, he said that the porridge was already very soupy. So we paretns went second guessing - if porridge is watery, then can't be very substantial, and if not very substantial, then how can he feel so full ๐Ÿ˜‰

but glad that at least he managed to get some food for himself. when we asked him what else did he do during recess, he told us that his buddy brought him to play.
