I have recently tried organic extra virgin coconut oil for my eczema on the face. It worked well for me. It is not a miracle cream but I can feel that the rash is more controlled.I have only used it for 1 week and have totally stayed off all other creams for the time being. Just google \"benefits of coconut oil\" and you will want to give it a try. If it doesn't work for you, just use it for cooking, baking or even a treatment for your hair. My flare has started since January this year and I am still trying to work out what is best for me. It is really depressing but I am not giving up.You know how frustrating and helpless when you just need to try everything or anything that worked. I know the road to recovery is a long one......

Below is the brand of coconut oil that I am using....

Coconut oil contains vitamins C, A, E, natural antioxidants, as well as a strong moisturizer. It is recommended for those willing to reduce their weight. I'm hypertensive and it helps me to lower my blood pressure (http://purecoconut-water.com/healthy-recipes/coconut-oil-and-blood-pressure-how-to-stop-hypertension/) That's why I often cook with coconut oil

You can get coconut oil in any indian grocery store. My inlaws asked me to use it on the scalp before having hair wash as it is a very good brings down the heat form the body and also used as a natural hair conditioner pack.

I have noticed virgin coconut oil sold at mustafa supermarket. about 24 to 26 dollars. Also you can get it at Prime supermarket(upper aljuined) at the organic food isle.

I have read somewhere it has the ability to cure the stomach ulcers when consumed early in the morning.

I use organic extra virgin coconut oil for face, mask, skin, hair and cooking. It contains antioxidant, UV ray protection and treats health problems, leaves skin subtle and soft. Protects your teeth and maintain the body fats as it is medium chain fatty acids. Cheers! Stay young and beautiful!

                  Hi Jennifer,

Great link on health benefits of coconut oil and like to add coconut oil is one of the best natural nutrition for hair and beneficial for heart also. Coconut oil is effective in losing and stabilizing body weight and used to treat healing and infection.

                        Hi

Does food cooked with coconut oil taste different from using the usual soya/sunflower oil ? More fragrant ?
