2013 P1 Registration Exercise for 2014 In-Take

We will be registering our boy for P1 this year too.
So excited yet worried.

For us will be Phase 2A2 if I’m not wrong. Now compiling all the documents required for registration.

Can any kind soul enlighten me on whether I should apply for Fairfield Methodist Primary or Nan Hua Primary?

Please state distance between schools and your house. Which phase will you be in? What do you look out for in selecting a school for your child?

We are staying within 1km to Nan Hua Primary, and I am also a NC member of West Coast Constituency. We will qualify for either phase 2B or 2C for Nan Hua. As for Fairfield, I am a old boy from Fairfield, and am qualified for phase 2A for Fairfield. We are looking for a school that can nurture our child, teaching him the moral values of life, and guide him academically. We don't need him to be a top scholar, but the school must be able to bring out the child's maximum potential. Giving the child the chance to know how great he can be.

Fairfield Methodist Primary because it has affiliation to sec sch and if I remembered correctly, the Fairfield Methodist Secondary School has affiliation to a JC.

Hi there, do you know which JC are they affiliated to? I remember during my days, we get to reduce our O-level score by 2 points to enter ACJC through specific ECAs. Does this still stand?

Does this still stand?[/quote]I think the system still stands for ACJC from the Methodist schools, just that it is now called CCA and the CCA points will then be converted to a grade.

Hihi....you might want to call up the school and ask.
I called up 1 school and the admin staff said they need at least 1 parent IC or any legal document that show IC number to match with their registration record.

Horizon is a up and coming school that I have heard of students from Mee Toh who request to be transferred into Horizon. Mee Toh focuses too much on academics and attention is only given to the smarter kids of higher ability whereas Horizon focuses on developing values, leadership qualities as well as academic overall for all students. The principal of Horizon, Mrs Ang, seems to be more approachable than Mee Toh’s principal.
